Using Google Alerts to Keep You Up to Date

Did you know there is a tool in your Google account that you can use to keep up with current topics and information within any niche you can imagine?

It's called Google Alerts and you can access it here: https://www.google.com/alerts

You can create an alert on any topic or keyword you wish and you will get emailed every time there is news on that particular topic from Google. You can choose how often you want to receive these alerts either as it happens, at most once a day or at most once a week.

You can pick where this information is coming from like news, blogs, web, videos etc. There's a choice of what language and what region of the world you want your alerts to come from. You get to also choose only the best results or all results. I would choose only the best results otherwise you might get bombarded with a lot of useless information.

Google alerts is a great tool to use so that you can keep up with what's happening within your niche. This tool can also help in giving you ideas for content to write about in your blog.

I believe Google Alerts has been mentioned in the training somewhere but I thought I would share the information on my blog just in case someone has not heard of this tool.

Question for the audience. If you use Google Alerts for your business how has it worked for you in regard to getting ideas for content?

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!

Cory aka Encourager1
