I can´t see that any free option website have any email forms for the customers to fill in, to create email lists. Is that only for premium?

Thanks for all the answers. I used to work with Lead pages and Aweber, but it got to expensive at the beginning, when you don´t understand the affiliate marketing to the fullness. Now I want to start from the beginning again, with a solid platform with full understanding. It´s easy to go after others recommendations, as I did, and just lose money instead. I know that email form at the website is a good tool for the future, that´s why I ask.

I find it difficult to find the right theme. I have an e-book about relationship that I want to promote. Can anyone recommend a theme?
Thanks, Ellinor

Hi, Ellinor...

Noting that you will have to set your website up elsewhere since as a free member you are limited in what you can do with the free website you get (I did not know this, but Diane below mentions it), it can all be done as follows...

Let's go over things one-by-one...

In regards to a theme, do a search on Google, read about the best ones for your situation, and then check to see if you can get it from here or generally you can get a free (but limited) version from the vendor's site...

Once you have that, to create a professional-looking sales page and sales system, here is what you can do:

Try the free version of Elementor, which is a plugin where you can create sales pages, etc. right on your current website. You will have enough simple but nice looking sales pages to get started with and no cash outlay...

That plugin and page can also work with WooCommerce, another free plugin, to create the payment gateway and automate the taking of money and delivery of the product (if selling as an ebook)...

Assuming the theme you are using is compatible with WooCommerce, you should be able to get this up and live pretty fast. There are lots of tutorials here and elsewhere to get the two plugins set up...

For creating some marketing materials there are also free platforms to use...Do a Google search and see which might work best for you...

For setting up automated transactional emails and delivery of the e-book, you can sign up for MailChimp for free up to 2000 leads. Money saver while you get started...

They also have the training (free) to start using their services and some forms you can use plus a plugin (again, free) that makes it easy to control your AR account and lists right from your website. It works well for me...

Next...

Essentially the work above needs to be done upfront to set it all up, then next, plan some articles, social media, and perhaps some viral campaigns that all lead to the sales page you have created to kick start things...and then...off you go!

Ideas...

Also, consider adding the book to Amazon? The more exposure there is across the internet the better for you. This can be an excellent way to get some sales and your name to the masses.

The marketing aspect is really the big thing at this point since you have the book done and the system set up to sell, take payments and deliver the ebook in place...

Here are a few more things to consider:

- Perhaps do a local promotion series as well in your community and the surrounding communities...

- Ask for testimonials and get some social proof (big factor these days in success)...

- Do interviews for newspaper articles, for podcasts, do some live events as a "soft launch" by region, etc.

- Get some endorsements from influencers in the niche for the ebook...

- Create some other related products that you can sell right along with that ebook...

Anyway...

Best of luck and let us know how it goes!

Cheers!

Thanks Dave, I will take small steps in the beginning as I am learning this the right way now. When I start to get traffic, this will be step no. 2. Thanks for your answer, great help.

Ellinor

Hi Ellinor, great question. If you're referring to building an 'email list' of subscribers, that would have to be handled by a third party autoresponder service. It's not something that we focus on in the beginning because you need traffic first before you can build your list (a lot of other programs will teach email marketing from the start (or only teach email marketing) which is effective if you already have a source of traffic, or if you have a marketing budget to pay for traffic).

Hi - as a starter member, you cannot have a specific email address for a free website, and you cannot add any plugins.

No even in premium you have to pay for an autoresponder to create an email list
