The Brain - TAGR Chapter Xlll : Do we have magical powers?
Napoleon Hill has subtitled The Brain as, A Broadcasting And Receiving Station For Thought, The twelfth step toward riches.
What do you think about our brains? Can we use the brains we have to exchange thoughts with others without speaking? It appears this can happen when we develop the skills to use our brains at a rapid rate.
The Project
Have you ever been involved in a project with others where there is a high level of excitement? This happens when everyone involved has a heightened interest in the subject matter. Focus is intense.
When one person states an idea, they barely finish it when someone else on the team completes the sentence! Much like how identical twins function.
The combined use of the subconscious mind, creative imagination and autosuggestion all fueled by a high state of desire can cause wonders to happen.
When Time Seems To Stand Still
I have been blessed to have participated in a few very interesting projects where our brain storming sessions worked like this.
We all had a common and focused goal. And the atmosphere was electric. We lost track of the time.
Nobody wanted to stop until we had completed the intent of that session.
Sometimes I was the team leader. And other times I was just a member of the team. It doesn't matter which role you have to experience this feeling if all the ingredients are present.
Our Affiliate Marketing Projects
When it comes to our affiliate marketing projects, we may be working alone.
But when we are super invested in the goal, we can get so absorbed with say writing an article that time seems to stand still.
And we do not stop until we complete the article.
Can you share experiences when your brain was being used in overdrive to accomplish something very meaningful to you?
Do you feel that telepathy and extra sensory perception exists as is discussed in this chapter?

The Irish have a Gaelic expression which is roughly translated as "the thin place", or "thin veil." This is a place where the veil is thin between the world we see with our senses and the "unseen" world. I think the thin place is not a place but a moment of time. This moment seems to stand still. This is a moment when we are vibrating at a frequency, accidentally or purposefully, that resonates with something else that exists in the unseen world around us. We match the frequency of that world, in that moment of time. This is also the place where truths become available for the taking just like fruit from a tree.
Animals can hear sounds that are outside our realm of hearing. The sounds exist, even though we can't hear them. I think this is the same. This world exists, just outside our vibrating frequency.
There are many different ways to tap into this frequency. Napoleon Hill describes many of them. The master mind group is one. Several brains focusing on a particular result cause a very high frequency that is not often possible for one person alone. All great inventors use this skill and usually from a very early age. That's why they are so good at what they do. They have had a lot of practice tapping into that frequency.
Everyone has the ability to learn how to use this skill. Jose Silva spent a lifetime proving this fact and giving us many programs to develop these skills. Western society tends to ignore this area of development which I believe holds people down. This is just another reason why Think and Grow Rich is such an important book to read.
I think the last two sentences in this chapter offer hope for everyone in light of what is going on in the world right now. He states that the "depression" was a blessing in disguise. He also wrote, "It reduced the whole world to a new starting point that gives every one a new opportunity." Online marketing might just be the best place to be right now.

Kudos on this post Edwin. To be honest, I didn't get much out of this chapter. I have had experiences with people where we were "on the same page"; excited about our topic of conversation and the ideas kept flowing.
What I understand from this chapter is that the creative mind is the receiver of thoughts from the subconscious and from others. This is why it is important ; 1. to keep stating our affirmation and 2. to be involved in this group to receive others' insights.
I always look forward to what everyone has to say here. It helps me understand things better.

Hi Barbara,
This was the shortest chapter so far. That speaks volumes. Napoleon Hill didn't have too much to say about the brain except to reiterate the lessons taught before and how desire in combination with a plan and autosuggestion the brain can be exercised to achieve incredible things.
Just like you stated.
Thanks for reminding everyone about the importance of the affirmations we created in Chapter 2 and how critical it is to keep repeating them twice each day with conviction.
We're almost complete with this book study. And I thank you for your commitment and perseverance with the study. Many have fallen by the wayside which is not surprising.
When I started this project I had only expected a handful of members to participate. I am truly grateful for the number who have actually kept being involved. I am getting a lot out of this book study just like you are.

Interesting topic and post Edwin! I do believe that we are not just physical beings but spiritual as well. Spiritual in the sense that through our brains/soul spectrum we do have qualities of connecting to each other outside of spoken or written language. We just have not fully discovered and explored this but I 'suspect' that it exists.

Yes, I believe we do have magical powers, it points to how we think and believe in what we do to have these powers show us the way, The Internet is an example of what human mind can do and these are the magical powers of man.

We use our brain for 100 percent ( the 10 percent use is a myth and not true) I think our "magical power" lies in connecting the "dots" read the other skills like using our imagination ,desire and so on the right way with our brain. at the right moment and right time. And using the Master Mind group , is putting more brains together. Can we find our "magical power'. Some will, others wont.
