Knocking Out Content - POW!
Hi, everybody. I hope this finds you all really well.
I read somewhere that Google likes you to have 100,000 words on your site for first page rankings.
So that is what I am working towards and trying to do it as quickly as possible. I know this could effect my quality but this is how I see it:
Getting up to that word count can be tedius. Three posts a week. Thats over 30 weeks. I might loose interest within that time.
If I get content knocked out pretty quick, I can then go back and fine tune my posts after.
I am using the following method and it seems to be working for me:
Setting writing goals in SiteContent AND creating several templates with individual keywords.
For more info on setting writing goals, please read this blog:

As for the templates - one evening I got my keyword list and started a post in SiteContent for each one. I wrote the introduction, sub headings, conclusion and some closing notes.
Now each day, I go on there and it is much easier to complete one. I was struggling to write a post each day before doing this. This is not a problem for me now. On some days I am writing two posts.
I hope this helps anybody who is also trying to bash out content and reach a word count goal.
If you dont recommend this strategy, then I would like to hear from you please.
All the best. If you liked this post, please give me a thumbs up below.

Good point, must not loose focus, we must write quality content. This will earn the money.
I hope I can make it by slowly putting something valuable content. I think that's what makes a site and what search engines love.
That sounds interesting. I do a lot of my "thinking" on a pad of paper that sits beside my computer! Setting up these templates would sure take a lot of the extra work out of my equation!
Best wishes,
Karin
Yeah give it a shot. I have my keyword list on a word doc. Copy and pasting is much quicker than handwriting. Best wishes to you too!
This is my method. lol
Great minds think alike. I have started the process in site content and just fine tuning it so I can get a good flow and then bosh them out.
I did not know about the word count. Thanks for that. now I have a target goal.
thank you for sharing
Wishing you the best. Let me have your update. We can compare notes.
Hi, I am glad to hear that you are already thinking on these lines!
Delighted to hear you like the word count.
I will for sure. Tbh, I got a little bit distracted by this really interesting blog about improving site speed. it is a massive task but one that i want to prioritise over content this week.
Because of this I may not hit my target but I did write 6,000 words in 3 days. I was pretty pleased with that. Weekly record for me.
All the best to you too!
You are on the right path with the right attitude. You're going to blow this out of the water.
All the best,
Wendi :)
I set myself a goal to hit 100,000 words by the end of the year. I’m closing in on 40k words myself right now. Luckily most of my post have been averaging more on the 1300 words so that has helped and I have Two or three that are 3000+
i have started to do this as well and have multiple post i’m working on at different stages to help me from getting burnt out on writing about one topic.
Awesome, that's great to hear! I believe that you can do it. Keep up the great work. I am a behind you, nearer 30,000. But I really believe in the strategy. Love the idea of having a few on the go at once so not to get burned out. Thank you for the suggestion.
Thank you so much! That was very encouraging =)
I actually put the writing on hold yesterday because I am turbo charging my site speed! But as soon as that is done, I will be returning.
If anybody hasn't seen this blog yet, I would strongly recommend it >>> Turbo Charge Your Site Speed! I will be creating a blog tomo with all my favourite blog posts that I have found so far.
All the best!
