Can I change my theme as in what my site looks like....without completely loosing all content/blogs w out much confusion? If so, direct me to how please...feeling frustrated,

Yes you can. I JUST did the whole renovaion. As I remeber, go to bootcamp, level 2 or level3, there is one clip called site backup sth.

Hi Erica, there is a great plugin you can use to back up your website before making any major changes> Just go to add new plugins type UpdraftPlus install and activate.

UpdraftPlus - Backup/Restore
Activate | Delete
Backup and restore: take backups locally, or backup to Amazon S3, Dropbox, Google Drive, Rackspace, (S)FTP, WebDAV & email, on

Best wishes,
Michael

You can change your theme at any time. However, it is always good to back up your site first before doing major changes.
You won't lose your content, there will be changes on the layouts, etc (depends on what theme you choose).

Oh gosh...maybe I'm in over my head.

You can look at it too...it sucks. Lol.

I think it looks good. I like the way you choose the header image. Then you also choose some good visuals for your post.

Let me share Jay's blog post that I think has a pretty powerful message: This is what he said - short blog but very true:

Words are the magic building blocks to conversions and sales.

Website themes don't sell
Colours don't sell
Fonts don't sell
It's the words that you write on the website that sell.

So, if I were you, I would shift my focus on publishing more quality content on my website that are helpful to my readers.

I was like you too when I first started. I didn't like my theme (Hiero like Kyle's website in the video training) but then once I settle on one theme, I could focus more on my content. It's 6 months old and has 85 posts. I wish I could reach my goal to have 100 posts but I was in the state of no writing content for almost 3 weeks. Today I will try to post new content for my website.

Oh, 1 suggestion, you can change the Tagling "Just Another Wordpress Site" by going to Appearance - Customize - Site Identity. Remember to click Publish once you're done.

All the best,
Ferra

thank you so much!!! Have you seen any affiliate sales in 6 months? I know it not a fast process..just curious

I got some $ from Google AdSense. I have clicks to my affiliate links but there's no sales yet. :) It's OK. I am not in a rush. I know it will take sometime. The training here helps. I probably need to tweat my strategy. I am in a very competitive niche (Health). So, I understand it will take time. Thanks for asking.

Good luck..hey we all all learning new stuff each day. One more for you..look at my site..happy w it but how don't get the call us # off the main page now? 🤦‍♀️

Yes, your site looks nice. Do you mean you don't want the phone # on your homepage?

You can try to customize your page on your WP Dashboard - Appearance > Customize.

Also, you should categorize your post.

Went to customize..still cant get that generic phone number off of there..errr

Check out the header part in the Customize page.

It is always best to back up your work before doing any changes.

You can go to Tools, click Export, choose all content.

May I ask what theme you're using?

I dont even know lol...I've never done anything like this before I'll tell you my .com but you cant laugh at me..haha. caribbeanhop.com

Thanks for sharing.

Try using GeneratePress free version if you like
Appearance, Themes, Add new, GeneratePress however after you have backed up.

What is that? Something in word press?

It is a theme.

So, I understand how to set the format in WP to date and time..it just doesn't show the actual time of day. How do I manually change this to the correct time?

You can set your time zone/country on the same page (Settings -> General)

The time is usually set automatically to the server time Erica. It would depend on where in the world your server is as to whether the time corresponds to your local time.
