AAARGH ! I'm having one of those "I need a social media manager kind of days."

As the social feed burns as fast as it takes superglue to dry, it's easy to feel like your getting lost in the timeline shuffle.

5 - Tips to building a social following

# Tip 1 - Be more Creative with Catchier Titles

Why do thought provoking titles get more clicks / likes and reactions ? Well, because we are very visual creatures.

I personally loathe click bait because 98% of the time it's designed to be misleading & are littered with ads, but like it or not is a really effective traffic generator.

So if you reverse engineer that principle you can make it work for you.

People are far more likely to click on a title with a hint of scandal, drama and even telling people not to click is cheeky but also works. :-O

Example:

" Read this if you 'Care' about going Viral "

" 3 'Big Mistakes' You could be making in your Keyword research "

" The 'Biggest Lie' you've been Told about making money online "

Not so outrageous if your blog post is relevant to the title !

# Tip 2 - Make your images high quality

Spend that little extra time ensuring your images are high resolution and the correct dimensions for your social posts.

# 3 - Incentivize people by hinting they # Tag their friends ( Facebook )

If you have a post about the latest beard oil and you are offering a discount coupon for a 'limited time' ( through an affiliate program ). You should encourage people to tag their friends to get the discount. More people will see your post and could mean more followers, conversions and traffic to your website which is always the goal.

#4 - Keep the conversation going

Whether you post on Facebook, snap chat or Instagram and you start getting replies, be sure to respond within the hour if you can as if you were chatting with a friend. Keep the conversation going and people will keep coming back to read your stuff.

# 5 - Make sure your social share plugin is configured correctly in WordPress.

This seems obvious but your website should absolutely have a social share plugin installed so your visitors can share directly from your site. I use monarch, but I also recommend super socializer.
