Happy Fail or Sad Tale ?

Why am I Happy I Failed ?

If giving up is the biggest failure - then I should still give myself an A for effort.

I look back 9 months ago and can pat myself on the back at how much I've learned here and skills that could still serve me. O.k so The labor pains were not all in vain but did not produce what I was envisioning so I think it's time to bow out gracefully. I tried but cannot crack this code.

* Not for a lack of trying but more about being disheartened with the niche I'm in, some health concerns and not enough energy to blog consistently.

Atleast I achieved 400 + Youtube followers and 126k views from one review. :)

Things I learned

  • How to build a WordPress website from scratch
  • How to design my own images
  • How to blog
  • How to install plugins
  • How to write creative copy
  • Learning the importance of creating authentic content
  • How to navigate Affiliate programs
  • How to create & edit videos for YouTube and upload them

Things I could've done better

  • Maintain an active presence in WA
  • Produce consistent content
  • Overcome depressive thoughts about failing
  • Put less pressure on myself to succeed
  • Not worried so much about the competition
  • Replaced Procrastination with action

IS WA premium worth the price ?

Yes, I think so considering how much value there is within the core of the education and the $299 at Black Friday is a bargain. I can give support 5 / 5 for always solving my issues quickly.

I'm sure there are many other benefits I haven't even thought of like becoming an ambassador and making connections but I don't see that many like minded folk here. Of course I may be wrong..

Thoughts...

If you choose a niche that is not too broad and can dedicate the time to maintain a steady output of content within that sphere, and interact here which I personally struggle with, then I don't see why you won't make it.

Anyway, Thanks to those who took the time to help especially Nat whom I joined through and has been such a sweetheart to me. And thanks to Kyle and Carson and Jay for being encouraging and real.

Let my story be a case study and motivation for you.

My membership is still valid, so I will still check in to soak up knowledge related to other web stuff.

Rock On !

Great post Dan. Hope things continue to work out.

Hi,
Thanks, it's not what I imagined.. But I learned a few things so not all is lost. Thanks all the best to you too.

Hey there Dan,

I just saw this, I'm pleased you've found a lot of value in your membership, but I'm sorry to hear you won't be sticking around? That said, I know you have a bunch of knowledge now, that you will be able to make use of that - perhaps with another site, or another venture... I'm not sure what your plans are! But I wish you all the best.

Keep in touch Dan, I'd like to hear how you're doing!

Nat x

Best wishes in whatever you end up pursing.

I agree with you, we learn a lot a lot about building websites/blogs on WA that is applicable even if a person isn't pursing affilate marketing.

You have a good success story Dan!
