Don't Forget The Children

I have read a lot of bio's and one of the things that seems to keep coming up for the reason for doing this is to create more time with the children. I really feel compelled to tell you from someone that has missed a lot of my children's growing up you really CAN spend more time NOW. I have been married for 37yrs and always thought my JOB was to take care of my family by working hard and making enough money so they could have what they wanted. I thought it was enough that my wife took them to everything. I would just keep working. My wife would always take a lot of pictures of my son and my daughter. One very early morning I was sitting by myself and was looking at all those pictures that were framed of all the different stages of my childrens life. I began to realize that I didn't remember some of those pictures.It was a very empty feeling that came over me. You see I too was going to work hard and eventually get myself in a position to be able to do things with the family. I'm 56 now and that day hasn't come yet! I realize now why my wife took all those pictures, they were for me. Today my children are grown and married and each has a child. God is good to me he gave me another chance and I can tell you I won't mess this one up. Neither of my grandchildren know if I'm rich or poor but what they do know is that their Paw-Paw loves them dearly and ALWAYS has time for them.Funny thing that's really all they care about. So PLEASE they need you as much now as they will later. I hope maybe this will give you some insight from someone that has been thru it.
