Too many affiliate banners....

Again it all sounds like it has been said a million times....I find there is no real information that is going to grab me and get me interested.....I have no confidence in the author having much experience in this field....it seems to be a copy of another site with suttle differences....Most folks looking for an online are going to go to more than one site for their research....?????? Will they come back to yours....????

Images the reading is dry.....no real information (can't stop saying that)....who are you if someone is going to trust you and your opinions....

You can probably do a better job on your about me page....again not sending me a positive message as why I should listen to you...advertising your other site...makes no sense to me....unless it is a very successful site and doing great...than by all means brag what you have done......and achieved because you followed this method

It is a good effort as you have done much work and are not totally out of site here... a site needs to offer some real help in some fashion....you need to give someone some real help from your self...not just sending them to another site...it doesn't seem to work all that well just sending folks to someone else's site that can actually help them...

You need to offer them some real help so they can get a sense of you know what you are talking about...if not your page is just another page on the net that means much of nothing....really just a copy of so many sites....

You have no contact page....no disclaimer page...put all of these together, in a separate menu...no G+ authorship...(not a huge deal but it helps)....

I find many including myself start in much the same way.....it seems like the right direction but in my opinion it is not.....I have been this route before and even if you make some leeway it is usually not long lasting...

Look at other sites....it isn't your design per say but the content that is lacking substance and to many banners it looks like a banner site....take a good look at it read it...put yourself in the visitors path...does this do it for you.....would this make you sign up....

It takes time.....get some ideas from others...but you need to put your twist on them....I know you have just started the site.....just rethink the reason you are doing this site....just chasing money will usually turn away folks....substance in your content...not necessarily numbers but quality will rule better than just numbers of articles.....

I had a look at your site - hidden greatness. Congratulations for putting so much work on it.

These are my thoughts - feel free to ignore one or all of them. I think I probably see things slightly differently from a lot of people.

1) Left menu. Believe that would be better on the right. - for the way that most of us look at websites

2. Number of links: - you have so many words that are linked. Personally I found it far too many and actually thought it detracted from the good stuff you have. Particularly as half these links - are you really endorsing them 3 different types of eating plans in one sentence. That to me makes ms me think as a visitor your chasing the money - not helping me.

3. Colour - Personally I still don't think green is a great colour as your primary font. I think it's too much effort on the eyes - particularly when you then have two other shades of green for the links.

4. Huge banner - is not currently adding anything to your site.

Having said all that - I think you write really well and in a manner that I'm sure will have people responding to you.

Nice sites! Careerafterretirement - just curious if you actually do online surveys. I know that I joined quite a few programs and it was never worth my while. Do you find that this is worth the time you put in?
hiddengreatness - didn't get a chance to read through it yet, but first critique that comes to mind = i really don't like that after the header i see an ad before i even get to the content. This may just be me, but it might be something you want to reconsider..

Re hiddengreatness.com, first off congratulations. What an amazing amount of quality work you have done. I love the green and the beige colours, they work well together. I'm not so sure about the bright blue headlines, though. Blue usually works well on a website, but with the green, for me there's a bit of a clash happening between being easy on the eye and really bright. I'd probably use black., or maybe something like burnt orange if you want to have colour. Now I wear glasses, so it could be me. Again, fab site!
