Have Been MIA and Some Good News
Hello WA Community!! I've been missing for a few days and oh how I've missed you! I don't think I've shared my full life story (didn't want to bore anyone), however I wanted to give you a brief overview and share some good news.
I had been working in higher education for over 15 years...same position...same university. Enjoyed the work and the people I worked with. I have a loving husband and three wonderful kiddos (16 yrs, 12 yrs and 8 yrs) but I was spending more time at work than with them. I was also beginning to feel stagnant in my work AND I felt my children were raising themselves. As most of you know, kids grow up very quickly and the world can be a little crazy. I wanted to come home and be more available. Eventually I wanted to find a part-time position that paid a decent wage but would allow me to work when my kids were at school. With lots of prayer and making adjustments, I've been at home since November 1, 2015 and have been LOVING it.
The reason for my "missing in action" is that school will be starting for my kiddos on August 10th and we've been in busy preparation mode. You know the drill: doctor appointments, dental appointments, eye exams, new clothes, school supplies. Ahhh...good times. :-) ALSO, I found a part-time position that checks everything off my list: making a difference, part-time, hours are while my kiddos are at school and a decent wage! I will be a computer lab instructor at a local elementary school. I'm super excited!!!
Now for EVEN BIGGER news!!! I was worried that my site health would have taken a hit since I've not created any new content in about a week. But when I checked my Site Manager I found something even better!! My Site Trust is now at 10%!!!!
Now, most of you are probably saying "Big deal, that's nothing", but to me it is. That means things are happening. That means following the training, creating quality content, engagement and promotion of the site (and I've done very little thus far) makes a difference. I'm pretty sure I keep saying this but THIS STUFF WORKS! I know I still have much work to do, however, it's moments like these that give me an extra boost of confidence AND energy to not give up and keep moving forward.
Wish me luck as I begin my new journey as a computer lab instructor!

Question though...kids starting school August 10???? Huh?!
Thanks Liz! Hey, if you think returning to school on August 10th is bad, there are some kids that returned on July 28th!!!!!
