Updating my Goals

In Course 5, Lesson 10, Kyle says to create goals for the next two years, at intervals. So I've created mine and logged them in my new Evernote (thanks WA for suggesting that great tool). Based on my production this month, I have projected the following goals for my site:

  • 3 month content goal - 66 Posts - 33 recipe/product reviews; 33 tips/product sales
  • 6 month content goal - 132 Posts - 66 recipe/product reviews; 66 tips/product sales
  • 12 month content goal - 264 Posts - 132 recipe/product reviews; 132 tips/product sales
  • 18 month content goal - 396 Posts - 198 recipe/product reviews; 198 tips/product sales
  • 24 month content goal - 528 Posts - 264 recipe/product reviews; 264 tips/product sales

5 to 6 posts per week, with photos.

Traffic Goals: In two years -

  • 600 sessions/day
  • 60 clicks/day
  • 6 sales/day

I have a long list of other tasks to accomplish in there as well -

  • Learning more about web page structure and HTML
  • Learning more about traffic dos and don'ts
  • Explore ghost writing for others while I'm doing my own.
  • Explore banner design using CorelDraw (I've used it for years).

and finally: HAVE FUN! I haven't poured myself into something like this for many, many years and it makes me feel alive.

Some of you know that I've had cancer twice - lymphoma when I turned 40 and colon cancer at 50. I'm now 54, and I want to see the big 6 - 0. This project has helped me regain my focus in other areas - exercise, eating better, engaging in the neighborhood again. Thanks for all of your help.

What awesome goals! :)

Don, Impressive layout of your goals. I'll be finishing Course 5 myself this weekend, so this helps me see what I'll be doing! You are an inspiration! And I still love that banner! Have a great weekend.

Congrats, WA grad - To the Class of August, 2014! Salut!

Great goals! Hubs and I are cancer survivors, too, but once each. Mine was stomach; his was prostate. We're both over that big 6-0 and I was told I would never see 5-0, so I firmly believe you WILL make it. And you will be baking exceptionally good stuff along the way!!!

Thanks Carla! You have a great weekend.
