Always Forward, Never Alone
I left a comment on one of Ariel's post "Success is spelled WA" She liked it and suggested that I make a post out of it. Thank you, Ariel. I had been working on a post along those lines anyway and the title fit really well. So I changed the title and tweaked it here and there. This is the result. I hope you like it.
A couple of days ago, I was feeling pretty low. Issues had come up and I was having trouble seeing my way around them. I had been racking my brain as to what I should do. It just seemed like everything I touched fell apart. I was also feeling a little guilty because I wasn't able to dedicate the time I wanted on my WA training. Total frustration was building up. You know, the kind the kind of frustration that makes you want to throw stuff and just walk away. I didn't, but I was at that point. My wife took my hand in hers and said, "We'll make it through this, we always do."
Always forward, never alone.
Naturally, she was right. A few days later, an opportunity presented itself. The issue wasn't taken care of completely, but we were in a much better position. You know you've made the right choice when your wife can read you like a book and know just what to say to make the difference.
Always forward, never alone.
During that same period of time, I was kicking myself in the butt, because I wasn't able to sit down at the computer and get any work done. I just wasn't able to wrap my head around what I was trying to do. Might have been feeling a little bit sorry for myself, too. Not that it could ever really happen to me, right? Anyway I got up one morning, got ready for work and decided to check some WA e-mails before I left the house. I was answering a couple when I noticed my rank had dropped out of the top 200 again for the second time in about a month. Now normally I don't pay much attention to my rank. I usually figured that didn't really earn that rank anyway, since I'm still struggling my way through the training. I don't really know enough to answer a lot of the questions. But that morning, on top of everything else that was going on, it really bothered me.
In my frame of mind, there was no way I could write quality content so I decided to do a meet and greet with some of the new members. I had a few new followers so I thought I would just start there. The first one was a brand new member. She had followed me because she had read one of my comments and thought I was helpful, objective and a good and nice person. Her reply brightened up my whole day.
Always forward, never alone.
I replied, thanking her for her kind words and explained how she had made my day and got me motivated again. I said, "If I can ever repay the favor, just let me know."
She came back with the most heart felt reply I have read here at WA. She told me about the rough time she had been going through and how my open and sincere response made her feel so much better too. Now she was feeling like things may work out and she was going to work hard to make it. I told her that's what families do, they help each other, and welcomed her to our WA family.
Always forward, never alone.
That's what I feel we've become here. One very large extended family. We all help each other, whether we realize it or not. We constantly inspire one another. It doesn't matter what mistakes we make, we encourage each other to learn from our mistakes then get back up and try again. As long as you keep moving forward, you're going to be successful. When you get to feeling low, remember all these good people here at WA. They've got your back. How do I know that? Because that's what families do.
Always forward, never alone.

Hi Don,
Yes we are all together in this journey of Internet Marketing and can help each other in different ways. Each of us has talents that are needed in the WA family . Thanks for the enlightenment, Don.

Don't worry about your ranking inside WA. Yes, it moves down when you help others. Focus on helping others on your website. Move forward with getting people into the community where we all can help them.
I don't really watch my ranking that much. I couldn't really figure out how I got that high anyway. I spend much of my time doing research and improving my site. I was just going through a rough time but I'm back at it again. Thanks
Don
