Indexed on Google 16 days after joining WA with only my 'About Me' content

Is this typical?

Regardless of whether or not this is typical, I was super excited to get notified that my content has been discovered and indexed by Google! I have barely begun to build my website, and only have my 'About Me' and 'Privacy Policy' sections done, and I'm currrently working on finishing my WA reveiw.

I feel like I'm moving at a snail's pace, and would love to move faster, but I'm doing all I can with my current life situation and priorities. So...I feel blessed to get this news, and it motivates me to stay the course and keep on getting more content up on my site with as many low competition keywords as possible.

To the journey!

congrats! Google indexing motivated me too!

Congratulations on being indexed, it is amazing the motivation you get from hearing google notices you.

Hi Derin,

When you are indexed that just means Google recognizes you as a "real business" and is not unusual - in fact it is typical. Your domain alone will get you indexed and that is great however, what you are working toward are rankings (how close to the top of a page your website lands when someone does a search). This happens as you start adding keyword rich content (posts, videos, etc.) to your site.

I hope this answered your question!

Keep up the great work!
Susan

Thanks. I'm still so new and learning, I don't really know what to expect. :-) I went to Jaaxy to look at the site ranking and it didn't show up there, though I got notified that it was recognized by Google. Anything I'm missing?

Hey Derin,

It takes a lot longer to rank high in Google than it does to have Google index your website. Once you start receiving lots of traffic your rank will improve as the traffic improves.

Hope you find this helpful.

Hey take it Derin, any indexing is good :)
