Place the cursor on the part you would like to insert your photo.
Click the add media button.
If your photo is not in the library, click on add new.
Choose the photo you would like to add on your hard disk.
After you upload the photo, click add to post or page.
Before doing that, define the size of your picture on the right side.
That should be all.

using a theme that is not premium
As starter member you are able to use free themes, unless you buy a premium theme you can install it as well. :)
I think you can choose any theme for your two free ones ! Now, everyone has to pay for the premium themes.
As a premium member you get free websites with a choice of themes, plus hosting and excellent training and support.
I really don't understand your question. You want to use a theme that isn't a premium theme? Normally this should work. Tell me what theme?
It is the expound magazine theme, it has one large photo and four smaller photos underneath it.
