When was the last time you cleaned up your computer?

Hi there ~

It has been a while since I posted a blog, just been so busy. But I wanted to say that I signed up for the Swagbucks thing and tried it for about three days. I found that first, it distracted me too much from my work. Second, I downloaded the tool bar and omg! It slowed down my computer so much! I then began to get error messages such as my chrome conduit plug in was not responding.

What the heck is a chrome conduit plug in, I asked myself? So I asked around, did some research and also looked at my programs that I had recently installed. And there it was, that sneaky little thing must have crept in some how. Needless to say, I removed this new program and deleted my new tool bar. I then cleaned my cookies and defraged my computer. I also had my Kaspersky do a long search of any virus's.

I must say, my computer is so happy now! It is running smoothly again and moving fast and I no longer have those frustrating feelings of impatientness.

Just wondering, have you cleaned up your computer lately? Your computer will thank you :)

Thank you for the reminder. But do a back up first, just in case a file is lost after the cleaning is done. ^_~1531/5/30

DoubleTap it's called Advanced SystemCare from www.iobit.com. You can get free or pro ($19 p.a.)

Yesterday, did a complete registry clean. all temp files etc. Trouble is it deleted my Chrome tab and had to go and redo it. However at least things aren't freezing any more :-)

What did you use for the registry clean?

think I'd better do it now! Can't remember the last time!!! Thank you. Jacke X

I helped people speed up their computers for years. I had people who would install anything that popped up on line. Then couldn't understand why their PC slowed down so much.

My own opinion is to keep my PC stripped down to the bare minimum. The fewer apps the better. I think I understand the same thing applies to plug ins on WordPress.

I live in a redneck part of the world and had trouble explaining some of these concepts to my customers. Finally, I realized I needed to talk to my audience better.

So here's how I got my point across.

You've got an awesome Ford F350 Power Stroke diesel - and it screams.

What happens if you load it down with 20,000 pounds of gravel?

(Response: It goes slower).

My reply: Exactly!

It works every time.

Kali

Oh Kali, you are so smart! I believe that you're right on the money with WordPress... 20 plugins=20,000 pounds of gravel!

perfectly stated :)

Yuppers D, had the same thing with CashCrate and their silly little toolbar search engine thingy. I hung with it for at least a month and a half. I eventually did the same thing as you and gave my little Toshiba a good scrubbing. I think that's when I upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 also. I think my Toshiba actually likes me now. Well... a little!

lol, that is funny, I am feeling the love from my computer too! I have windows 7 and am very happy with it.

Now if we could just teach those things how to make us a good cup of espresso, ey D?LOL
