Hi Diane,

I found this very helpful. It reinforced my recent action to stop putting in more effort on my first website and start a new one.

The results I got confirmed that I didn't approach my content creation as well as I am able to do now.

Thanks for sharing this intriguing tool. Do you think it is worth trying out their paid version?

Cheers.

Edwin

Hi - well, they are one of the most-renowned SEO companies, but whether or not they are worth $99 per month, I don't know.

A lot of their paid features can be found free elsewhere, or here at WA, such as keyword research and rank tracking.

Hi Diane,

You answered my question perfectly. I am not going to pay out $99 a month for stuff I already have or can get for free.

Thanks.

Edwin

Thank you so much, you are enriching me and please I deeply and heartily appreciate all the tips you send us. Thank you once again

Thanks for this

I like it, thanks Di

Thanks Diane for sharing a good tool to evaluate my domain, but my domain authority is very low how to improve that, any suggestions.
Preetam,,✌️

Hi - it's really just about making sure that your content is considered good enough to share by authoritative websites that are in a similar niche.

But of course, you really need to be on page 1 of Google to be seen in the first place. I assume your website is about a year old now, so you should have at least 100 posts.

Once you have reached that figure, not only write new content but see if you can improve older posts. If you are using Google Search Console, you can find which keywords you are ranking for on page 2, and see if you can improve them enough to get on page 1.

If you do product reviews, check your information is still relevant and up to date, or if newer models have been released etc.

Thanks Diane for your guidance. I will definitely work on those areas.🙏

Hey Preetam,

The main metric for domain authority is links, especially backlinks.

However, this is not to say that a website can't be hugely successful with a LOW domain authority, it can.

In fact, most of my websites have fairly low domain authority, but do very, very well.

The point being, if you can find low compeition keywords that rank in the search engines, you will never need to obtain backlinks.

So, your Domain Authority MAY remain low, but your traffic will be HUGE because you are targeting the right keywords.

Plus, don't forget that if your content quality is good then people may automatically link to you anyway.

Yes, I'll admit having a high domain authority will typically help you to rank for anything and everything, and so you get lots of traffic this way.

However, obtaining GOOD QUALITY backlinks can take just as much work (if not more) than writing articles on your own website.

One of the best ways to get backlinks is through guest posting.

But unfortunately, most people do this the wrong way.

If you want to write a guest post for a DA90 website, you have to offer them some type of benefit.

But, why would a website that probably has 10,000+ articles and is earning $100,000 PLUS per month, want to link to you.

what benefit can you provide them?

So, even contacting high authority websites is a learned skill as well (and you haven't even written an article for them yet).

This is why I would always suggest that you should initially conentrate on your own website, and focus on low competition keywords.

Trust me, when you've written thousands of articles, over a number of years, people approach YOU.

Diane has also mentioned about improving rankings on articles by using Google Search Console, I actually wrote about this last year: Partha

Thanks, Partha for clarifying my mind and now I concentrate on my own website even more, but I have to admit that I choose a very high competition subject which affects me even more.
