What a month so far!
It actually began in the end of August. Apparently, what happens in Vegas does NOT stay in Vegas! My husband had a trade show in Vegas in August and the only souvenir he brought back was the new Covid variant. He didn't get sick but one of my sons and I got a pretty serious dose.
I only needed one night in the hospital to hydrate and begin some heavy antibiotics (beginning of pneumonia) and now still recovering at home. Home is definitely better.
I have a desktop and a laptop but have not been able to work at my desk for long. My laptop then decided to retire. It's 4 years old. I use it every day. And a family member had dropped it on our tile floor, causing some issues a few weeks ago. But it chose my recovery time to retire.
I've dealt with hurdles before. And I'm constantly encouraging my family to "just keep going" so....I had to keep going. My small tablet is less than ideal for work but it kept me updated. I spent a few minutes at a time on the desktop.
And now? My eldest son (we call him Sr-Techy) found a nice laptop that's even better than my previous. It arrived yesterday and I'm enjoying my time on it! Have I ever mentioned how wonderful my kids are? They are all adults---many of you know one of my youngest- Rebekah,. Each of our 9 kids brings unique talents and blessings!
So I have my new laptop (set up by Sr-Techy so I'm ready to go), my dogs nestled close to keep me warm and happy, coffee at my side with a big glass of water to stay hydrated...
What more could I want?
Well, I do wish this virus would leave. The Dr assures me that it will...in time. I guess I got a super dose of it. She wants me to prepare for a long recovery. Well....we'll see.
In the meantime, I am so happy to be back working at least part-time!
How is your September going thus far?

Oh no Diane, I'm so sorry. I hope you feel much better soon, day by day. Try and keep yourself active on the days that you can manage it.
My thoughts are with you.

Thanks, Bux. Yes, this virus is not a lot of fun but I am staying active....as much as our torrential rains are allowing 😂
Thank you for the kind words.

I'm glad you are back home too, Mom; this house isn't a HOME without You🥺
But I am happy you are recovering slowly, but take it day by day, and you'll be back to your old self, keeping us on our toes😂 (we love it, people don't worry)
I get some training here at home as a CNA, too! So that is good.
Oh well, back to studying my skills for this exam. I love you😘
Thank you, my dear. Home is the best!
Agreed!
