Surprising New Direction
This way or That way?
Today one of my sites propelled me in a new direction!
While it's happened before, it never ceases to amaze me. One minute my mind is creating a new article or working on keywords or maybe that (dreaded to me) social media. Then
POOF!
An idea comes to mind that I had not even considered before. No rhyme or reason. It just flew in and took over my concentration. Before I could finish the research I was working on, I had a list of keywords for the new direction.
Of course, that sets me back from my goals for the day. But this new direction for the one site is one that I believe has great promise. In fact, I'm not sure why I didn't think of it before.
Whenever this happens, it catches me off guard. I mean, really off-guard! But my thought process is already steam-rolling forward. I've looked up the necessary "will it work?" and "is there enough material?" and am ready to proceed down that path.
Does that ever happen to you?
I'm not sure if it starts as merely a distraction or if my brain is busy on other things while I'm also concentrating on the task at the moment.
And creativity does have it's downside. It will take me a little time in the morning to catch up on what I intended to finish today.
Still, I am quite excited about the new direction that the one.

Our subconscious mind is always working things out in the back of our minds. Occasionally, it'll even let you in on what it's thinking. And when your gut tells you that you just discovered gold, you have to see it through.

You have to be ready when inspiration hits you. I find it wise to keep paper and pen near the bed in case an idea pops into my head at night.
hahaha-I do the same. I keep a notepad with me at all times, just to catch those little ideas that pop up. Then I transfer to my google spreadsheet to keep them organized.
