It's been a challenging week.and Dad's advice

This week threw some incredible challenges my way...

I worked through each one but kept wondering if it would ever end. It started with a DDOS attack (another host, not WA) and just went downhill from there....

I won't go into the details but suffice it to say that I owe a HUGE THANKS to our incredible Site Support team at WA! I'm sure they were shaking their heads at times but they helped me through without judging. And that site is back on WA.

Today I saw a little light at the end of the tunnel. And I remembered that today my Dad would have been celebrating his 87th birthday. Unfortunately, Dad passed almost 6 years ago. I miss him so much. He was a patient man with great wisdom. Not only was he my beloved Dad. He was a great mentor.

But on his birthday, one of his bits of wisdom jumped out at me:

No matter how tough it gets, remember you're not alone and things will get better.

Yes, Dad, you are not here physically, but your teachings will not be forgotten.

In this case, it was WA site support that helped me through. With their help and my incredible writing team, I have persevered. This week is not yet over, but I'm now gearing up for next week to be fantastic! After all, my Dad said it does get better. And as far as I know, he was never wrong!

I'd like to suggest that each person on WA take the same approach. It might seem dark and dreary. But that just means that the days will get better. We had terrible storms on Tuesday. Some tornadoes nearby, too. But Wednesday, the weather cleared, and the sun shone.

Similarly, a problem day is just clearing the way for the sun to shine more brightly!

The problems of this week are <hopefully> completely resolved. That site is back up and seems to be generating traffic once again. I'm a week behind from where I had hoped to be, but I am moving forward.

I miss Dad and am sad I cannot bake him his favorite cake today. But I am so thankful for the many years we built memories together.

May you remember Dad's advice...

No matter how tough it gets, remember you're not alone and things will get better. --Bob Gibbs

I'm glad to hear your site is back up!
Grandpa was very wise. I even repeat his words of wisdom on days I need them.
One of my all-time favorites is."No use of complaining if you can't do anything about it." 🥹
I am sending a hug to you, Mom.

Loki, and I love you! Here is a picture of Loki for you to enjoy.

Thank you! Yes, Grandpa and Grandma were both incredibly wise and wonderful people. ❤️

Enjoy the rabbit show with Loki!

I always have fun when my baby boy is by my side.🥰 he's always making me smile and sometimes tears because of how cute he is when he sees me.
Thank you again for letting me get him, Mom!
I love you <3

Happy to hear that you got everything sorted out in the end Diane...

Challenges are there to test us and I am sure that your father would be proud of you overcoming every challenge that comes your way!

Have a fantastic start to the weekend my friend and take care ok! :-))

Thanks, Nick. Yes I do believe that challenges just make us stronger, if we don't allow them to defeat us.

Have a wonderful weekend!

You're most welcome Diane and you're not wrong there!

Much appreciated my friend! :-)

Glad to hear that you got through that, Diane! Your father was very wise!

Jeff

Thanks, Jeff. Yes, Dad was a wise man and dearly missed.

I know what you mean, Diane!

What a wonderful worldview you have! Quite a testament to your father. Thank you for your story.

Thank you! My father was well-deserving of our respect and love. 😊

❤️

Glad it all worked out Diane. How do you get the animated gif to work?

Mel

It's an app-- I don't remember the name of it but you can find it by searching for animated signatures. I think there are several such apps.
