Who to believe
I got a Google alert yesterday which you can read. The link is at the end. Basically it says that you can't make much money online unless you are Amazon, Ebay, Google, etc. It seems like once I get my hopes up, they come crashing down when I see something like this.
I have put in countless hours and hard work on a website I think is very nice, but have not made a dime. Is it true, are these so called marketing programs here just to take our money?
I'm back to being skeptical, not sure who or what I trust anymore. It's very disappointing to read something like this. Who am I suppose to believe?

That article speaks of e-books, webinars, etc.but it doesn't even come close to addressing a site such as we have here at WA. Webinars are just a fraction of the information available to us in the WA family. There will always be doubters out there to burst your bubble. But only if you allow them to!! I believe in what we are doing here and it will take a lot more than one guys article to dissuade me.
Cliff
I read the article with interest. In offline businesses some people make little or no money. Some go on to be Lord Sugar or Sir Richard Branson. I am sure that it is possible to have every level success online.
Do not let anyone tell you what you can do, the face is many people besides those listed on top are making money, look at Richard Branson got kicked out of school, was told he would not amount to anything etc and where is he now, and he is one of so many the size of the world wide web is big enough for everyone to gain from, sometimes we just need to re work the formula keep going
Who are "THEY" to say anything Dan. Kyle is right, you have an incredible customer base online more than you would offline.
Stick with what you do and know and it will happen for you. I just started getting traffic the other day on my one website after 4 months, and it felt amazing.
Go confidently in the direction of your dreams, and don't be swayed by haters.
Dan - if one article brings you crashing down - then you have a problem - because that type of mindset will drive you crazy. This isn't easy - and it takes a long term commitment. The time it takes to achieve "success" will vary.
I see you have chosen to promote money online. You have clearly done a lot of work on your site (I had a look) and you write well but it's not particularly easy to get a feel of where your site is going - and that something I would look at. You'll probably won't appreciate me saying this - but it's never easy to promote to people how to make money online unless you're already doing it successfully.
But it is possible for people to make money online regardless of whether they are a famous brand. :) Beverley
I can reassure you that you can. Many people here at WA are full time and you can absolutely do the same.
Saying you can't make money online is like saying you can't make money in business. The opportunity online is much better than anything you could start offline without the overhead and start-up costs.
It is a beautiful thing and with 2.8 billion people online, the sky is the limit Dan.
Oh, I understand it's possible to make money, it just doesn't help the psyche to read something like this.
Did you read the article? Apparently not. There is a man from Kent making money online and has hired one employee.
A word for thought. When you write such a blog like this and you get referrals. Realize that your referrals may read your WA blogs. Being a skeptic is no way to get referrals or sales.
You need to have a positive mind set. How long have you been here? I have been here just over 6 months and have made just over $100. Now is it much but I am $100 richer than 6 months ago. Every business needs to grow and you need to give it a chance.
Debbie
Yup, there's a huge number of "six figure" scammers out there, loads of Members have fallen foul of them before arriving here. That said, if you translated the argument to the real world, then only Walmart and the like would be able to make money from physical retail and they'd be no point in starting your own small shop or business, would there?!. ;) Rich.
Thanks Kyle, msdj, and Rich, you have given me ideas and content to use for a new post. Thank you.

Hi Dan, I agree with the others on here. What this article is referring to is similar to what a lot of our members are reviewing as either scams or near scams. You can discount the article in that it has nothing to do with the learning platform that we have here. Our success or lack of it will depend on how much effort we put in and follow the teachings of our mentors who stay up to date and work to help us achieve success.
I agree with Beverley that it is difficult to promote a make money site unless you are actually making money yourself. You can still do it by following the guidelines of those who are making money, it is just difficult.
One thing that has always been helpful to me is to look back at my work when it is cold. Is the work something that would appeal to me if I read it somewhere else? Does it have the look of truth? Is it written in a way that would make me want to take action? I have torn down entire websites simply because I didn't think they had the believe-ability factor. I have one right now that I am not happy with and am just sitting on it until I know what direction it should take. It looks pretty but pretty doesn't make sales. I have not promoted it and will not until I make some decisions about it. Some sites will make you some money and some will not. Only if you have done everything that you should with that nonproductive site should you give up on it. The things taught here do work. You have to believe in yourself and quit waiting for that other shoe to fall.
