A Bad Fall
Hi WA citizens and friends,
Today I am happy and so grateful to be alive!
I had a really bad fall from my horse yesterday. We were riding along peacefully enjoying some sunshine and fresh air when she suddenly spooked. I did a rather spectacular backward tumble through the air. Landing rather ungracefully on my head with a hard thump. My horse turned around and came to nuzzle me on the ground with a sheepish look as if to say "What are you doing on the ground?"
Thank goodness nothing is broken. Although I do have some serious bruises and sore muscles.
These little mishaps are a great reminder to put things into perspective, life is fragile as a bubble. Take time to breathe, be present and grateful for this amazing creation and experience we all share.
Wishing you all a joyful & healthy life!
xAnin
Ps. As soon as I've healed I'll be back on the horse!

Yup we get back on & reflect on how we can do better next time. Very important to listen to your horse, they notice so much more than we do sometimes.
Ouch, sounds nasty! But it could have been worse, so glad you are ok.
I miss riding so much, I grew up with my own horses and I rode every day on the beach.... until I left home.
I know how it feels Lynne, I had a decade long break from horses. The moment I started again I couldn't stop, love them so much
I must start riding again, I have had the odd ride in the last few years but I really want to make it more regular.
Ah Lynne, I hope that happens for you soon. Horses have tought me so much about life and myself. Best of all it is a great way to emerge in nature.
Glad that you are OK Anin, gives you ac scare things like that and true it makes us thankful.
Glad you are ok, do take a rest . Dealing with animals are quite unpredictable, just be careful.
Not sure, we didn't see anything obvious and she is usually very calm around most things. Maybe something she saw & I din't (snake perhaps).
