Everything is now in place. Now all I need is traffic, lots of it

Well, I've got things in place that I want for my online business. I have a website that now has over 50 posts and some reviews with affiliate links. I've now got Google AdSense working properly and have some of its ads on my site. I have a few posts that are ranked number one or not far from it on Google. I have ventured into email marketing and now have a weekly newsletter (still have a lot to learn regarding email marketing). I have a YouTube Channel and last but not least, I am able to do live broadcasts of my gameplay in which people actually get to see my face and reactions to the games they get to see me play.

So now the fun part begins. Getting the traffic to really start generating revenue and subscribing to my newsletter. Now that's not to say I am not getting any traffic to my website. I have Google Analytics and check it from time to time and notice that each month, the number of people going to my site is steadily going up. I know I need to work on things too as my bounce rate is creeping up as well. I've also noticed that I am getting some clicks on my affiliate links. They have not led to any sales, but at least I know people are clicking on them and checking them out. Haven't had any clicks on my ads for AdSense yet either.

Now to start building traffic, I've been looking on game forums. I really need to start paying more attention to what people are posting and asking for when it comes to games, mainly the type of games I'm targeting in my niche and see if I can offer a solution to what people are asking about or looking for.

Next, I really need to start utilizing social media better. Now I do post links to any new posts on my website to a Facebook fan page that I have. Unfortunately, I do not have any visitors to it or likes. I also post links as well to Google+. I do have an account to Twitter and Pinterest, but I'm not too familiar with them as I created accounts and first started using them when I did the training regarding social media use. Really need to go back over the training for those again.

Last but not least, live broadcasting. I LOVE the PS4 for this very reason. Sony has made an excellent gaming machine that makes it so easy to share your gaming moments in a variety of ways. It has what is called a SHARE button on the game controller where you can take screenshots, record a video of up to 15 minutes of gameplay and have the ability to upload them to YouTube and Facebook, and you can broadcast live your gameplay. This is where I believe I have some of the most and best potential for generating some massive traffic and here's why. Now in order to begin broadcasting your gameplay live on the PS4, you first have to have an account on either twitch.tv or UStream. I decided to go with twitch tv because there is no 30 day trial and you can pay monthly if you don't want to go through ads when you watch someone else's broadcast.

Now there are two ways people can view your broadcast, the first is through twitch tv and the second is through Sony's service, Live from PlayStation. I've been looking at other people's broadcasts to see what they do and how they get people to view them. There is a specific user I know on there who does a live broadcast for at least an hour every night, is just 16 years old, and already has over 50,000 followers of her broadcast channel! I notice she makes it fun and gives shout outs to people that post in the broadcast chat and from time to time she will have giveaways such as gift cards and games.

When I first started testing out live broadcasting myself on a specific game I like playing a lot, I was amazed at how many people decided to view my broadcast. Now they haven't followed my channel, but they did stay tuned in to see me play and some commented how good I was doing in that game and then friend requested me on Sony's PlayStation Plus network. So now I am starting to get people interested that way and joining my friend's list. This is what I want to work on the most as I want to get 50,000 followers which in turn can VERY easily be 50,000 people to my website and my email list. Wish me luck!
