How I wish I had read this sooner!
Well they say, hindsight is 20/20 - so true! This simply means that "It's easy to know the right thing to do after something has happened, but it's hard to predict the future."
Let me explain why this phrase is meaningful to me right now. After I graduated from college, I knew that I needed to be a multi-tasker to get my first job, then second and so on. Not once during my many interviews did I skip mentioning that I was a "multi-tasker." I was proud to let my future employers know that I could do more than just a couple of tasks at a time.

Yes, I was a multi-taker! In fact, that was one of the strengths that I would make sure that I highlight at each interview. Granted, I manage doing multiple things efficiently but the question that remains, could I have done better had I not been rushing to finish one task and quickly moving on to the next? I sincerely think so!
Well, it's been a new revelation since I read Kyle's training "Online Entrepreneur Certification - Level 2 : Lesson 9 of 10 Amplifying Your Productivity." This has been an eye-opener because I can now see how focusing on one specific task at a time can help me accomplish so much more. It does make a difference when I shut down social media, texting to just simply concentrate on writing my blog or finishing that next chapter.
Now, that I'm applying this concept regularly, I can finally see the benefits by checking things off my-to-do list.
Naturally, as a mom, there are plenty of times that I'll have to be a multi-taker but now i'm being mindful of how I'm applying my time to each task.
How I wish I had come across this post sooner.
Do you find multi-tasking to be a time waster or does it vary based on the situation?

Hi Dee - I try to focus on one task at a time but I always have others in my mind to get to! If something new jumps into my thinking whilst I'm doing something different then I will write it down to action for later. In saying that, I can be good at putting things off if I'm not in the mood for them which can really just make it all the more difficult - once you get a start it doesn't seem so hard!
Cheers, Mary-Louise
I prefer not to multi-task though when my dogs are playing like maniacs in the living room that our home office is next to, I DO get up and kick them out! And then later when they ask nicely at the front door, I do let them back in.
Great post! I used to say that i was a multitasking interviews too! Lol... now and see that multitasking is not always ideal. Yes, it can be a time waster. Plus, focusing on one thing and getting it done makes me feel more accomplished.
All The Best,
~T.
Yes, very true. I'm being more efficient with my time now, especially when I can focus and complete a task. Thanks for the comments.
It does vary depending on the situation. For blogging or my business its more efficient to focus on one thing rather than jumping from one to another because everything gets done more slowly.
Good post, thank you.
True - with blogging, i have learned to focus on one task a time - more efficient that way.
Thanks for sharing.

To be multi-task is the price to pay of all
parents and employees and maybe we
can't do things thouroughly, but the important
thing is to manage as best as we can.
Have a great day!
