Does amazon disqualify a sales commission if the link clicked by the customer on my website is the w
I am showing that a purchase was made on amazon off of my website but the commission is disqualified.
Am I reading correctly that amazon does not pay commission if certain
If the customer is family and friends, yes, as it would be against their policy. If that's the case, I would be careful not to void my affiliation here.
Also, your customer would have to use your link within the set period of the cookie for you to qualify.
There are also cooling periods for when returned occur before commissions are paid.
Hi - any purchases made by yourself, or friends or family do not attract commission or count towards your 3 sales in 180 days target.
How will they know if the purchase is made by a family member or even a friend for that matter?
Well, that's a good question, and nobody knows.
Other than the obvious methods, such as the purchase being made from the same IP address as yourself or if you have previously had purchases delivered to somebody else.
Amazon owns a lot of companies and is said to be able to track any associations elsewhere, such as contact lists.
No matter how they do it, I can assure you that a lot of members here have been caught out by this rule and had their purchases disqualified.
Chris,
Many affiliates often get banned because they start using Amazon's logo or adding direct URLs in buttons on their website. Avoid adding buttons that you think may infringe on Amazon's copyright, such as using their logo or their brand colors.
I am not sure about unqualified words. Here another link:

Thanks Rahele! I now believe the reason for the non-commission is due to the fact that I made the purchase for myself.
Thanks for the link
it is more that if there is any connection from you to the other party that they will not pay commission....
or something that there is no commission on.....

I am trying to join an affiliate program for my website and they are asking me to verify by adding a meta tag to my home page to prove that I own the website.
If AvantLink
Download the WPCode - Insert Headers, Footers, and Code Snippets and add the code in the header section. Just once is good.
You can use the Ad Inserter plugin, as you do not want to edit your themes files directly as you will lose your changes when the theme updates or if you change your theme. How To Use The Ad Inserter Plugin
