I Can See, Can You?

Yesterday I had cataract surgery. The process is done routinely and the surgery center has the science down to an art. Although I was given a mild anesthesia, I was able to sense what was happening. Because of the anesthesia, I was not able to drive so my wife accompanied me and did the driving. God bless her!

I can report that everything went well and now I can see without prescription glasses or contacts as I have been used to since 5th grade. Trust me, that was long ago (Eisenhower was the US President-POTUS did not exist as an acronym then) Fact is, I don't think the word acronym even existed back then.

Now, it's just a matter of putting drops in my eyes for the next couple of weeks.

Doing well and getting back to work on my WA websites and blogging.

I hope you can see, like me, that this platform (Wealthy Affiliates) is a great place to be.

Good Morning Dave,

Glad your eye operation went so well. I had one eye done in May and it was also a success. I plan to do the other eye soon too. The difference in colors is amazing and I can drive without glasses. If I had not done the operation, it would have been mandatory for driving. It impressed me how well the hospital functioned during these hard times.

Greetings from the south of Spain,

Taetske

I am glad to hear your success with cataract surgery and you will be even more delighted when the second eye is complete. I wish you a happy and enjoyable weekend in the south of Spain.

Did you have both eyes done on the same day? When my dad had it done in the 90s he had one eye done and the other a few weeks later. He had to wear something over his eye that looked like a fly's eye. He would have been temporarily blinded of they had some both eyes at the same time

Good catch! Yes, yesterday was the second eye surgery. First eye was done a week ago, and I wore a contact lens in the non-surgical eye for the week in between so that I avoided having the disruption of only one "good" eye.
Thank you for your comments.

... it's best to have one eye done first, and then, the other as needed to minimize the risk .... i think that's standard practice ...

Fantastic news Dave. Delighted for you & yes I can see that WA is a brilliant place to be.

Trevor

Thank you.

Wonderful news. You will be up and running again very soon.

Thank you.

I can't wait till I can have cataract surgery Dave. Glasses are annoying.
Great to hear you have good vision again.

It really is great. Still need readers, although there is a more expensive surgery option that handles both the near and far sight correction. Too much $$ for me. Insurance covered the surgery that I had.
