A great way to stay ahead of the competition also, is to look for the latest news to come out of your niche. that way your competition will have to try to write it differently to you for a change. Not that this is particularly witty, but you get the idea. obviously you cant be sarcastic or witty for every post. Look at every subject on it's own merits.

Your readers will hardly ever click on your citation link. Just the fact that you had the confidence in your stats is enough for the reader to have confidence in you.
