Hi Folks

there is a domain name I really want, and i want it as "abcd.co.uk (not the real name). that's available but there is a company in Brazil or Portugal, that has

Yes. Domain names must be unique, but that includes the extension (also called the TLD, top level domain).

Yeah, but the dot com remains superior.

You also want to check out the status of the other business and how established they are. Most people's perception, when they start typing they would, typically assume it is a dot com.

Unless otherwise, your audience and customer target base is the UK, then I would think they'll expect a .co.uk domain name.

Nice. thats fine as im targeting only UK.

Thanks for that

the research i have done all points to the problems occuring if your business is same or very close to the business product, service, niche, that the other guys are running. so ive jumped in and bought the uk domain name lol

I have indeed.. Thankyou for your help

Hi,

Having started a co.uk website, I realised that everything on here is geared up mainly for worldwide or US market. Firstly, is there any way of narrowing down to jus

You have FANTASTIC responses here; kindly let us know if you require additional assistance.

I use Keysearch alongside Jaaxy, Keysearch can be narrowed down to UK only audience, which I've found very useful when searching keywords specifically by a UK region.

Thanks for that

If you try and like it, this code should give you a 20% discount: KSDISC

No worries, hope it helps

Before the latest Google update, some of my keywords were ranking around 40 ish. low, but still there and showing up. after the update all of them totally disappeared from sear

Looks like we were correct and google did sort of mess up. Hopefully this November core update will turn everything the correct way around again lol

Yeah sometimes

I have noticed the same things indeed. Posts ranking above me with VERY bad and thin content and even one post with just 50 pictures of dollhouses and linking to 50 other websites. (my niche is dollhouses and miniatures).
It is bloody crazy!
Jay gave a month of classes on how to recover from Google updates, but in all honesty, I don't think that this is going to work, as the competition is way worse, and I'm not saying that because of being arrogant or something, it is just the truth.
Also, in my niche, people are now buying everything as cheap as possible on Temu and when I look at Google for one of my keywords, that is exactly what is happening right now, Temu creates ads EVERYWHERE right now and is taking over Amazon and Etsy for my niche.
But I don't get believed here in WA, not even by Kyle. So not just the traffic, but conversions are very low at the moment.
I am starting to focus now on social media, because my niche is quite popular on Pinterest. SEO on Google just s**ks at the moment, you are not allone!

I know Google are always going to do core updates and helpful content updates, but I really honestly think they pressed a switch that says "upside down" because, as you said, the rubbish stuff is above all the good stuff. Google have to sort it.

Absolutely! It's troubling...

yep! Same here!

Hi there, I am having the same issue with Google.

Hi. I think google will update it again soon as it really seems upside down lol

Some of my best posts appeared and disappeared on Google's first page. Now I don't see them anymore.
I also noticed that Google is ranking e-commerce sites first and affiliate websites under e-commerce sites. I could be wrong, but that's what I see lately.

They might be hitting relatively new sites and want more maturity. Have yours been hit at all, because that would add weight to that thought

I have seen them all. It still doesn't work the way I wish. Unfortunately, not everything is in our hands. Google decides who ranks at the end of the day:) That is why you must diversify and use social media and email marketing.

Have you seen these webinars from Jay? There are four of them.

Lol. I've just come across then now. Many thanks. It just seems off to me. With rubbish thin "stuff" on first page after you spend hours and hours making sure you cross all the t' and dot the i's. Only for google to wipe you out in favour of the ones written by 4 year old (sorry 4 year olds, I know there are clever ones out there).

I don't think those classes are going to help, if you notice which posts are ranking above yours, it's ridiculous. Have you looked at your own website traffic Abie and which posts lost your rankings? WA isn't god you know, it is happening to lots of us, even SEO 'gurus' , who have been in this industry for a long time.

Agree
