From Hero to Zero?
Hello fellow WA'ers
Now I am sure you are reading my title thinking that surely that should be the other way around? However I'm afraid I've hit a bit of a realisation in that I'm pretty sure my niche is far too broad.
So for those who are interested my niche is hen parties (bachelorette if you aren't familiar with the "hen" part). Last night I posted my latest blog on "hen party ideas for a pregnant bride" http://perfecthenparty.com/hen-party-ideas-for-pre... this seemed to be a very low hanging keyword so I thought great & after I had submitted my post I felt pretty positive, but then when I couldn't find my post within google search my heart sank. It sank even lower when I found that my other posts were falling further down the ranking :-(
Now maybe I am being a bit too hasty and I'm not giving myself enough time but maybe instead of focusing on 3 aspects of a hen party (packages/accessories and games) I should have focused on just one of these items.... but what can I do now?
I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who has felt like this or is currently going through a period of doubt & if so I would really appreciate hearing from you as to how you got through it.
Hopefully I can get over this hurdle and my next post will instead read "from Zero to Hero"

I felt the same at one time but you really need to give it time it will happen have faith but if you really think it is to broad then I suggest you look at other web sites in your niche and see what they are doing all the best Max

I'm a bit late here but was just reading through your blogs after you answered my question.
I think your site is great and you have some great content already (in a short time - I'm way behind!)
I think what others have said is true - it's takes time for search engines to trust your site. Also, with a new site Google won't 'crawl' it right away, so if you add a new post it might take several days or more to appear in the search listings.
I notice that you're now on page 2 of Google for 'Hen Party Ideas For Pregnant Bride' so that's not bad for a new site!
