Happy Chickens!
Now, I'm not much of a dancer but I am happy enough to do it. Just don't watch. You won't be impressed.
When I started my chickens blog at Wealthy Affiliate, I never really thought that I would get anywhere with it. I mean, I've never considered myself to be a creative guy and couldn't imagine that anyone would want to read what I wrote.
But I have always been a pretty solid "C" student and plunged ahead anyway. I started writing some pretty lousy stuff and published away, and I continue to do so today. Amazingly, as WA said would happen, the blogs are getting better and better!
I didn't realize how far I've come in a few (seemingly) short months until I assessed my position this morning.
You see, I spent a nice portion of my morning messaging a reader about fundamental chicken-raising information that I didn't have to Google because I have been researching chicken-related information for months, and I knew the stuff off the top of my head!
I thought, I'm becoming an expert just like Kyle said I would!
I spent another portion, much earlier, of my morning gathering up three roosters to send down the road to another farm. Then I gathered eggs.
I thought, I'm immersed in my niche topic just like I'm supposed to be.
Later, I will immerse myself in mucking out the coop. Hmm, too much immersion maybe.
I also had to handle comments on my blog! Yeah, I'm getting unsolicited comments/traffic. It's not a lot, but it's happening. It's happening!
I have also referred a few people to Wealthy Affiliate. And some are upgrading.
How is this happening?
It's happening because of the amazing gameplan that the founders have laid out for us here at Wealthy Affiliate.
The point of this blog, for all my fellow C-students that need it spelled out, is that everything that Kyle and Carson have said would happen if we have patience and consistency is really happening.
If you are new to this platform, IT WORKS!
I know that I am just getting started and have an enjoyable journey ahead of me, but I am pleased enough to do the chicken-dance!

That's great to hear, Dave! Years ago, I used to raise free-range chickens. The eggs are amazing! But there are other parts of it that are not so fun. Anyway, glad things are starting to work well for you. May you gather many more "eggs" in the future.

arm is doing well. i have PT twice a week so that's helping a lot. slowly getting better by an inch or so a day it seems :)

Hey Dave, well done on your achievements so far... And that in just about three years, right? What is a "C" student?
Do you promote WA on separate blogs or platforms? I think you could monetize your chicken blog with related products, services, and Google Adsense. Also, a YouTube channel is a great idea with links below the video to your blog and vice versa. I bet you're doing at least one or two of these already. YouTube is a fantastic place/ way to drive traffic to affiliate sites and other places. I see it all the time and I'm also doing it.

Three years? No.
I signed up in 2020 and paid for the membership while doing virtually nothing for the first two years. I finally got myself in order at the beginning of this year, so all that has been accomplished has been done in the first 6 months of 2023.
The moral of the story is that it is amazing what one can do if their head is screwed on without being cross-threaded.🤪
I was not a good student in school, whether HS or college. My priorities were wrong-leaning let's say. I tended to crawl through with C's, not A's. My idea of disambiguation was wiping the sweat off a cold beer so I could read the label. (That one was a stretch - sorry Diane).
I have an affiliate chicken site and a PPC marketing site for referral solicitation.
I really haven't gone hard on monetization yet. I have a link here and there, but nothing too intelligent... yet.

Well, a C is a good achievement. It usually means you're getting 60% to 69% on average. Not sure if it's the same there by you. Well done then, you're doing quite well already. Keep it up!

I know you have it in you, your persistence and your drive will get you to get 90% plus in anything you want to accomplish. Passion is key! In school, we are silly and naive, lazy, etc. I did average in primary school as I didn't worry at all about it because of an abusive childhood.
However, in grades 5 to 7, I was already able to do university-level mathematics, algebra, some programming, science, and so on, and got distinctions in those advanced subjects when I did past exam papers from books that had complete answers in the back. Then when I got to grade 8 (my first high school year) I started to pay a little attention to school subjects and became the top student in high school. And so on.
