Procrastinating meaning
So now it's already a week into January and lots of people on the 1st started their New Year's resolution with enthusiasm and confidence. Did you make a New Year's resolution? How are you going with it?
It's interesting to see that some surveys have shown that 20 days after making a New Year's resolution 50% have either gone back to their old ways or have totally forgotten about the promise they made to themselves.
Promises such as 'I will be fitter and healthier' 'I will become vegetarian and drink less beer' 'I will double my income' etc.
What do you think of this word procrastination?
People use this word procrastination a lot when someone questions what happened, or when they feel they need to give an excuse for not following through on what they said they would do
The word procrastinating meaning 'putting off' I think is not the right word to use. I think the best word to describe this type of person is that, it's just not important to them.
If something is important to us we tend to always follow through on it. If someone told me that they had 10 thousand dollars to give me at 3:30 am tomorrow morning, I would be there at 3:29.
So why are some important things not viewed the same way?
Now is the time to review the promises you made to yourself at the beginning of the year and get going on them. It's never going to be the perfect time to start something new but all we need to do is get started.
I reviewed today how I'm going with what I promised myself I would do at the beginning of the year. I've set the bar quite high but I'm determined to get all my to do's done for the day.
My daily to do's on Wealthy Affiliate are
1 blog on WA
Say hi and welcome 6 new premium members
1 new blog post on 2 of my websites
Complete 1 task on boot camp
Add some thoughts to site feedback
Watch 1 past training video

I have a daily to do list for all areas of my life and I structure them the same way I have here for Wealthy Affiliate. My to do's are highly focused on a specific outcome. This insures that I don't get caught up in meaningless tasks throughout the day or get myself distracted
All the best for 2019 guys and I hope you can achieve all that you set out to do
Cheers

Nice one Dave.
I need to do a daily to-do-list like this too, just to keep things simple and actionable.
Your focus on training (current and past) is really valuable too.
Wishing you every success in 2019 and beyond!
Blessings
Louise

Hi Dave, I think that is great. Establishing reasonable goals I feel are important to being successful.
