Don't Rank Panic!
Hey Fellow WA'ers,
I have recently seen a large rampant surge of members up the walls regarding their WA Rank going a little bizarre at the moment. From what I can gather is due to serious maintenance going on behind the scenes regarding administration. Can you begin to imagine the amount of information admin has to look after?
This platform saves and keeps available for you personally:
*Every post you have written.
*Every post you have liked.
*Every training you have posted.
*Every comment you have made.
*Every comment you have received.
*Every comment you have liked.
*Every training/webinars available.
*Every comment on every forum/topic.
*Every step of your training.
*Every website you have hosted.
These are but a few of the things going on behind the scenes with your personal Premium account.
Now just think about that and multiply that amount of information by the number of WA members?
Quite a few?
My message to anybody concerned with your rank at the moment is don't sweat it. The guys in charge will sort it all out. After all it's not like your bank account has just been cleaned out? It is simply your rank.
Thanks for reading and hope when the dust settles you are happy with your position. ;)
Cheers
Darwyn

The over all message of this post should be:
Stop caring about your WA Rank and Start caring about important statistics that matter.
I also, have seen an influx of people asking. It seems to come in spurts. New members flowing in everyday and they are curious about it and what it does. Some weeks gain a ton of new members, some weeks are slow. It happens.
It is exciting when you first join John to see yourself moving up the ranks, but you soon realize the reality of why you pay to be here?
Sure, I agree. When first joining, it's nice to see the ranking system and see it increase as you become more involved in the community. However, people shouldn't get caught up into it too much.
Sometimes, glitches such as this means they are working on some good new things for us here :)
Hey Forrest, I am with you on that thought. I had to try and point out the magnitude of changing anything on this platform regarding the scale of things. Lets face it, it's not like adding a new plugin etc. ;) We are in good honest hands here.
You did a great job of pointing all of that out, my brain is tired just trying to comprehend what it takes to make this all work
Your reminder should also show what we are getting for our money. I have only been a member for a month but I was pretty ticked off when I seen someone on chat complaining about paying for a premium membership just so they could finish the training. But we get so much more! The training is just a taste.
Our rank should be the least of our worries. It isn't going to make our websites better so its best to let the pros do there job. And we'll stick to ours.
Hey Melody, you have been here for a month and are already getting the true value of this place, that is great. The want for a higher rank is also a good thing I think as it shows a competitive streak that I feel is a necessity in this line of work. However the knowledge here is of more importance like you said.
Thanks for dropping by.
Cheers

I totally agree! I would be lying if I said I didn't watch my rank and get a little excited when I see the number get lower. :)
I feel very lucky to have found this place! I just love it.
Yeah, there are lots of things happening within WA - your rank is reflective of everything you have listed, but as with where you appear on search results - the message is don't worry about day to day fluctuations. They will happen (updates happen all the time) - just look every few weeks, not every day, or you'll get worried about dropping a few places... and lose sight of what you should actually be concentrating on - great content :)
Cheers, Mark
I totally agree Mark, yes a high rank is nice to have but like you say your site, content and the bread and butter is what counts.
Cheers

Hi Darwyn, yeah, and for me - when my rank went (below) 20, I started to realise I was concentrating on helping others, and not taking direct action myself - so the whole point of being here, was to learn online marketing - and I wasn't doing that - I was was searching the questions for ones I could answer, and letting my businesses fall away - there is a balance to meet with helping and contributing and making this work for you.
I now hover between 170 and 230 rank - I feel I contribute to the community, and I work on my sites too - so I'm happy with that rank (although I still don't pay attention day to day, but maybe month to month).
All the best, Mark
Yes Mark, a fine balance is what it's all about. Main objective: education to make money, secondly: enjoy the company of others on the same journey and help out when you can.
Thanks for your input.
* I just dropped by to see the hilarity of comments to unfold* I was really bummed that mine froze at 409 instead of 420. Juss sayin' ; p
*le sighhhhh* I need to stop progressing so they drop it back to 420...I may not be able to sleep tonight. bahahahhaha...the struggle is real.
Ps. Thank you for the PSA...I'm glad someone gives a care ; )
