HELP! I'm in SERIOUS trouble!
help! - i'm in A LOT of trouble. i swear to god, with every lesson i am going one step forward and three steps back. is there a way to trash everything i have done and start all over? is there a "reset" button? i
cannot even get my first three pages to show up in my header. when something doesn't work like the tutorial shows it's supposed to, i panic and go in and screw everything up manually. i can no longer move forward unless i can clear the site completely and start all over, doing ONLY what WA tell me. is this possible or am i ruined before even launching?
and if i am ruined, is there a way i can start all over with a new domain and purchase my current domain from myself? i think i have the perfect domain "Raising Fido Now" and can't think of anything better that isn't already taken.
i'm ruined before even getting started.

Take a deep breathe. If you may have to start over with our domain name if you don't like it, but you can copy and save all your content, images and links and then rebuild. That I was choosing the wrong themes and that gave me fits. Copy everything someplace easy to retrieve and rebuild.

You can of course start again simply by deleting and then starting a new website from scratch - I had to do similar recently when a theme I was working with totally locked me out of everything!
My question is - do you really need to start again totally? If you could be more specific about the problems that you are having with your situation then it might be possible just to sort that. Otherwise you might find yourself back in a similar position with your new installation.

Now, yes you can delete your website and start over but your statements above scream redundancy. Please do not back up but rather work through. I would love to answer your questions.
Take a breath, and a moment, and a piece of paper and a pen and write down your questions by the numbers and PM me and I will PM you back answers by the numbers.

i don't know what i did wrong so i can't ask what to do right to change it. i simply either have to push a "reset" button or get a new domain and start all over. i'm only a few days into building so i am not losing that much.
Yes you can delete your website and start over again, when you are on the website manager, go to details and scroll down and click on Delete Website.
You then can start over with the same siterubix domain name that you had.

i can't find the 'details" anywhere. i will step away and look again later. maybe because it isn't a siterubix domain there is no "details".
yes- i either need to find a "refresh completely" button or start with a completely different domain and start over. this one is polluted.
i tried that. picking another theme didn't work either. all my problems carried onto the new theme. i need a "restart", "delete all" or "refresh" button like on a computer hard drive or a smart phone when you erase everything and start from scratch. that is the only thing that will work.

First, I would recommend shutting everything down and walk away. Take some time to breathe and chill. I just did that myself; something was just taking too much time, and decided to leave it for tomorrow.
Second, it's hard to give you any direction without knowing exactly what you're doing. I had completed all of courses 1 & 2, only to have to start from scratch. Really, it's not the end of the world. It's possible that a code got inserted, that you're unaware of, that may be causing you problems. Sometimes it's better to just wipe the slate clean and start from scratch.
Third, I've also had to ditch the domain name that I bought, for another one. Make every effort to do wbat you want to do, but be flexible enough to let it go and move in another direction, if that's what's needed.

There's a LOT that I don't know, but feel free to send me a PM, should you have any questions you don't want to put out there for everyone to see. I tend to shy away from sending PM, but the few times I did, I was overwhelmed with how willing people gave of themselves to help me. It's coming up to 5 months for me, and I'm STILL amazed by the generosity!!!

First of all, know that you are not alone. Many of us have had to go back and go over things or even scrap and start from scratch. The second option would be a last resort for me because I tend to be a "work through it" personality. But I think you got some good advice for that from others. I know the feeling of not knowing what questions to ask to get the answers you need. I feel that way quite often. All I have to offer you is encouragement. Success comes to those who work and wait. Never give up. Never give in. While you're busy working; success rolls on in!! Lol. I hope you get it all straightened out. Jeannie
