Count Your Blessings.

As the year 2021 hurtles to an end, it is important for us to remember to count our blessings. Sometimes, we are so fixated on things we do not have that we tend to forget to show appreciation for those things that we do have.

The gift of Life

The first thing I am grateful for is the gift of life. I don’t know about you but I am so grateful that I am still in the land of the living. The fact that this treacherous virus has robbed us of over 800,000 lives and still counting is intimidating, to say the least, but that you and I have been spared is enough reason to be grateful. I am sorry I deliberately left out the name of the virus because I do not want to dignify it by calling it by its name.

I offer my condolences to the loved ones who have been left behind.

There’s Hope

I am not better than any one of those who have gone ahead of me, it is only by His grace and enablement that I am still alive. I have learned never to forget that fact and ever be thankful for the breath of life.

I am thankful because I know within myself that when there is life, there is hope. I may not have achieved those milestones that I have set for myself. I agree it can be discouraging most times when your goals seem so far away from your grasp but I do know that as I keep on pressing on and refuse to abandon this journey, I will finally arrive at my destination.

A Burden Shared

I am grateful for the WA platform which has allowed me to come in as a greenhorn and train to become a skilled affiliate marketer in a few short years.

I am even more grateful for my co-travelers who have been willing to share this burden with me: veterans, master affiliate marketers, and plain newbies all chipping in from their knowledge base. They have made my burden lighter. A community of learners and trainers all united in a quest for technological knowledge and perfection. What a powerful combination! How Kyle and Carson have come up with this combo still beats my imagination.

My family

I am grateful for my family. They are my rock. They are the ones I run to when every other thing fails. They are the ones who bear the lion’s share of my happiness as well as my sadness.

Takeaways

As I engage in this deliberate practice of counting my blessings, my heart begins to swell with gratitude for all I have, and those things I do not have for now begin to pale in comparison to the things I do already have.

I do invite you to participate in this daily ritual of counting your blessings and seeing your happiness increase exponentially. It’s so liberating, especially in this Christmas season when there’s so much going on and people can feel lonely and left out of the scheme of things.

Postscript

It’s just three days to Christmas and I am already thankful for a Christmas I can see on the horizon! Merry Christmas, y’all!
