My site has been up for about two weeks now, and has only 5 clicks from google searches. I was wondering how long it would take to start getting a decent amount of organic traf

This is great because it tells you that someone was interested enough in your content to come to your website and in only 2 weeks. Amazing.

Now try writing at least 2 more content per week and you will start to get more traffic. Put links in your content to each other so they stay longer on your website.

Continue with the lessons here as it will teach you how to find Affiliate programs and head towards making your first sale.

Lessons and more quality content are your next goals.

Wishing you success

You're going to have to keep writing good quality, relevant content--something I also need to work on. Only then will the traffic grow, and when you have enough traffic and more clicks that's when you should monetize your site, Colt!

are you promoting your articles on social media
affiliate marketing has two sides - affiliating and marketing
you may have setup a website, but with the billions of them out there why would someone look at yours?
you have to tell your crowd you have new and exciting information to help them, otherwise they will pass you by.
how long does it take to see organic traffic - as Diane say - 3 months in and google will start to trust that you are here for the long haul- as long as you add more content.
then it start to depend on your niche - how relevant your information is and a hundred other things to get ranked.
is ti worth it - only you can tell that - does it work - yes, simple as that - if you keep going you will get there
if you stop now, you wil never know
good luck

Hi - realistically, at least 3 months, probably longer. Google views all new sites with suspicion, and will not rank you high enough yet to be seen by potential visitors. Continue to add more content, of at least 1000 words per post or review.

I got almost 500 the last week, but all of the sudden, according to google analytics, no one is seeing my site or post. My site is still relatively new, about two weeks old, bu

The chances are these are all bots sent out to find your site.Don't worry just keep writing

Hi - I would be surprised if you genuinely got 500 views on a site that is so new. It can take several months for Google to rank you high enough to attract visitors.

You can break down your analytics further to see where these visitors came from. Plus, it will also include any visits you personally made to your own site, unless you have set a filter telling it not to.

That's the weird part. A lot of them are labeled as direct, which I think means the go to my site straight from typing the url into the address bar. Since my site was only about a week old, I did think it was odd, but I wasn't complaining about the traffic.
I make a point not to go to my site myself, as to not affect my analytics.

Bots, or non-human artificial traffic sources, make up a portion of direct traffic on many sites. Take a look at your average session duration - real visitors would spend several minutes on your site, as opposed to a second or two.

Oh, now it makes sense. I didn't use any artificial sources though. Is this normal?

It's fine. Could be Google bots or if you added any Amazon links for example.

Seems like that's the case. I guess I freaked out nothing.
