Week 3 - Am I flying through training too fast or what?

So here I am in week 3 here at WA. I have my site up and running with a few posts. I am actually still working on narrowing down my niche because it’s a little broad, but it’s what I’m interested in. I like talking about marriage, family and personal finance.

Anyway I’m on the making money part of the online entrepreneur certification training but I feel like I can’t complete the tasks because I don’t have a lot of content on my site yet. Am I just going too slow with my content or am I going too fast with my training? I love going through the trainings sometimes even a couple of times, I just don’t always feel like I am ready to complete the tasks, so I will just move forward and listen to/read the next training until I can come back to complete the tasks.

How long on avaerage would you say it takes to complete a training? Should I be taking a different approach?

What we your first few weeks like (if you can remember) and how fast did you move? I know right now I am a little behind on content so what would you say a good amount of articles per week would be?

I didn’t post this as a question because it’s part of my journey and I want it to be part of my blog posts. I would love to hear your thoughts.

Cris

I think you're fine speed training, so long as it isn't going in one ear and out the other.

Soak in as much as possible and complete the tasks, otherwise, you'll find yourself with lots of completed training and little progress on your affiliate marketing journey.

Wishing you lots of success! Have fun and get things done, friend! :D

You are doing great but slow down on your training and take notes you don't want to miss anything and try doing those tasks because that will help you out. Congrats on your website.

I know from experience I went through my training fast no meaning to and I missed a lot of information so I had to go back an redo all the certification training again but this time I took notes and I am fine. Right now I am In Affiliate Bootcamp taking notes on that too.

Take a breath and breathe a little you are doing good and I don't want anything to happen to mess you up in any way shape form or fashion. I hope this helps you out.

What a great post, with an interesting question, that wil no doubt get a variety of answers, all of them good.

This is mmy take on it,there is not a race to go through the cerification or affiliate bootcamp courses, each one is task orientated

Now it depends on how good you are at applying the tasks asked of you, which determines the pace you go through the various levels and how quick

For some, it can be a couple of minutes, for others a couple of hours and for others longer, the most important thing is that as you apply, you you understand and then, you can blog about it on your WA blog, if you see fit to do so.

Does That make sense?

When you feel, you have too little content, take a marking time, create the content you feel you need and then go on with the training

Hi Cris, I think the best approach is to follow each single step of the training. So, whenever you are asked to write a post, do that before you move on. When you want to sign up for affiliate programs, it's necessary to have enough content on your website already, otherwise you may be rejected.
Regarding the general speed, everybody goes forwards at a different pace, there is no right or wrong. Some people complete the training within less than two months, others take more than a year, and that's all perfectly fine. Just make sure it fits into your timescale.

I agree with Sammy. I like to go through it step by step. I'm eager to learn and I want to proceed with the training. But setting myself up to complete ALL the tasks of a lesson before moving on kind of keeps me motivated to REALLY do those tasks and not to skip them for good!

Good afvice Samy

Thanks Dave.

Yes, Chris, I think this is an imporant point - planning to do all the tasks before continuing with the next lesson really keeps you motivated to actually do them.

I wouldn't worry about monetizing your site until you have at least 40-50 posts. You won't have much traffic before then anyway.

You really do need to do each task as it is assigned. Each lesson builds on the previous lesson and this helps to reinforce your knowledge.
