My niche is on vaping and i am not getting any traffic probably because i cant come up with any keywords at all and what i do think is ok always says <10 on the traffic? is
Yeah im probably trying too many individual words rather than a few words in the keyword tool. most things i put in say
I've read that long tail keywords are better then individual words. I don't know much about the topic or your direction but I just found this one in Jaaxy....
"Is Vaping Bad For Your Health"
Monthly searches 178
Competition 39
You could twist that one in whatever direction your aiming the site.
I've been stuck many times too and then you have an aha moment. Another great place for content ideas is Google Alerts.
It takes time to figure out keywords. I get frustrated quite often. Sometimes I start writing and look for a keyword after.
If I am remembering correctly you should aim for traffic to be over 50 and the QSR should be under 300 (Thats what I have been using anyways). I also read a tutorial that noted that not every post needs to be based on a keyword as it may rank naturally. Vaping sounds like a pretty hot topic so there should be good keywords out there. Have you tried Ubersuggest? Thats where I go when I'm completely stuck. I also sometimes search Google and see what others are talking about to get ideas. Doing the google alphabet soup method is also helpful to get started with keywords.
Are you sure. See this:
Vaping And Side Effects 880 150 12 (monthly searches, traffic, competition). And this was just my first attempt. This is a gold keyword as you see.
So try again.

yeah ive just been looking on that ubersuggest you recommended which has given me more of a insight. i wil try what you say and hopefully something will happen. Atleast im not the only one then!
You will find them. Put yourself in the readers shoes. What would they want to know about vaping? I would want to know about the ingredients, health concerns, price, availability, etc.
Many of my posts are even based on a question. We tend to ask google questions all the time. I hope this all helps you out.

or should it be narrowed down into say tanks etc?
Hi Craig...being the affiliate manager for 180 smoke vape store. I would say it is a niche but increasing every year. At the moment about 10% of U.S adults are currently vaping according to poll conducted by reuters. Hope this helps.
I don't think that's too general. Too general would be "video games", but if I were to say "Xbox 360 video games" that would be kind of the same as "Vaping products", as both are a subcategory of a larger niche (smoking, tobacco, etc.).
I've already seen one pretty awesome website do just what you suggested, so I see no reason you can't do the same.
