My Grandson Says, "Winning Edge" is Working On Yourself
I telephoned my 14 year old grandson, Cornell 'MannZ' today to tell him about my Wealthy Affiliate Blogging on this subject and my plans for us to Summer Camp hop

this summer 2016 teaching this concept.
I also thought to ask him what his definition of "Winning Edge" was since I had not discussed it with him directly before now. He answered, "Winng Edge is working on yourself."
I also mentioned how I had taught his father, Cornell 'Mann' and his Uncle Shawn this prior to them leaving home in 1997. Mann left home for a 3 year tour in the US Navy and Shawn for 3 years of Graduate School. I felt at the time they needed an 'Edge' for with which to work on themselves.
Da-da-da, that's why I chose this for a title.
I don't remember when nor how I stumpled upon this idea of "Developing Your Winning Edge." I cannot take credit for the Concept that Brian Tracy, Millionaire Sales Trainer, discusses below. I'm simply reporting or rather telling "My Story."
I do remember however that I started to teach and share "Winning Edge" with my sons at home and with other youth at Beaver Dam Baptist Church, in 1994 or 95. I just didn't know others were doing the same thing, even Billionaire ,"Buy Term, Invest The Rest, "AL Williams. Maybe I got it from them because it was IN THE AIR, I don't really know.
If that's the case, I like what's IN THE AIR, what I'm feeling and what I'm hearing in this Wealthy Affiliate community as I share this. This WA opportunity has allowed me to see, hear and feel this connection to helping people on a much larger scale. It's like my life and my LEGACY depended upon it.
My wife and I ended up starting a ministry ourselves in 1999 and you can guess what we called it, Winning Edge Ministries. MannZ and his sister Nastasia spent more than half their lives under our tutorage there. Even though the church is no longer in existence, the concept that we felt important and that we knew would make a difference is everywhere.
"Winning Edge, " I could'nt have said it better nor simpler than my grandson, "Working On Youself."
Can you hear the thunder and see the lightining from this right hand below that symbolizes the effort we must make every day to become better at what we do?

I do magine that there is movement of these elements, thunder and lightining, between the thumb and index finger that reveals the smidgen that it takes to do a litlle better every day and move a little closer to living your dream after, "Working On Yourself.
A Suggestion: Hold your right hand up before your face in front of you right eye, close your left eye with the thumb and index finger of that right hand facing each other, close but not touching.
Do you see what I mean? Just what Kyle and Carson recommend, Everyday, "Working On Yourself."

Good on ya, Cornell. I've got 9 kids and, between them , they have blessed me with 36 grand kids and 12 great-grandkids. My pastor friends tell me that I have a full quiver. I've taught from the beginning with my own 9 exactly what you are teaching.
They have done the same with their kids and, between all of us, the same goes on with the great-grandkids.
Stay blessed my brother.
Cornell, I love the way that you've shown us that there is much to learn from everyone, young or old there are lessons to learn.
Wish I was that smart as your grandson when I was 14!
Hi Cornell:
I think your very astute grandson hit the nail on the head with his interpretation of the phrase. I can hear the pride in your writing about your grandson. :)
I can also feel your passion in your writing. Having passion is a key to everyone's success. I wish you much success sir.
Hello Cornell this my first enter action with any kind of blog comments nice to see someone doing something with personal development looking forward to more blogs persistence is the key Thomas Edison was asked how felt in failing over 10,000 time's in coming up with the light bulb and his comment was that he didn't feel like he failed 10.000 times he just found out that he discovered 10,000 ways on how not to make a light bulb.. keep up the great work and God Bless.

Hello Cornell, I had heard the phrase "Winning Edge" in sports most of my competitive life, and of course the concept overflowed into my private life. From an athletes point of view it is very much working on yourself, to achieve what it is that you vision. Great post.
Harvey,
I never would have come up with such a definitive expression as my grandson. I tend to overthink things.
Thanks for the Amen and agreement that we are in the some ball park as we reach out to help one another.

Love children they are so more advanced today and very creative. If we allow ourselves we can learn from them.
I always say, They are smarter than we are in their generation. I checked out your website briefly. I love it! I shall return.I like the cameo reference you gave to JB.
