Why Am I Here At WA

A website developer created and managed a website to market my art online. The cost was affordable and I had no complaints.

Several Things changed in 2013; the developer was promoted to Dean of the local community college and it was becoming increasingly difficult to consult with him.

Sickness raised its ugly head in the form of a mild stroke and I was overcome with fear.

There were now several challenges; what if I cannot carry on producing art, how much was I affected mentally; and who can take over the management of the gallery website; the developer was eventually offered a promotion overseas.

I started to design brain exercise to test my own cognitive function, the first developer I handed over the website to was too expensive and the second was too unreliable and costly.

After months of research I found WA and decided to learn the computer and share my brain exercises and develop an online business to supplement income in case I could no longer earn money from my art, which was my business for most of my working life; 48 years to be exact

It is now two and a half years as a premium member of WA, I recovered enough from my stroke to continue producing my art, I am not getting any younger and is looking to earn an income as an affiliate marketer in addition to m art.

After being an amazon affiliate marketer in the beginning; I abandoned the effort, I now chose to promote just WA and my art

It’s a long and hard road to success and the most difficult learning has just begun.

Hope you are as happy as` I am with WA.

We have all learned and grown during out time with WA. My goals have changed, my path strayed, but WA has remained consistent.
(and continues to be improved.)
Godspeed and blessings,
Sami

Hey Courtney.
This is an insightful look at your journey and by that, I mean one which I see myself...looking out to the future with a different perspective; re-evaluating my goals and setting a more efficient Course.
What I appreciate most is the value you place on learning...
Thanks for being here Respectfully, David

As the saying goes-you never too old to learn- I thought i had thrown away the books when I left teaching and art would be my focus for the rest of my life; but fait would not have it.Here I am and planning on going much further.Enjoy the rest of the day David.Blessings.

Wow, Courtney!
As if the hurricane wasn't enough trauma in your life....
I'm very interested in your art -- what is your website?
Congrats on the journey back from your illness. Brain exercises, to me, sounds like a very creative solution, at least not one I've ever encountered before.

2017 was a difficult year, but we are moving on , I just wish we had visionary leaders
. I am happy I have adopted a plant-based diet. The websites are listed under the profile, my art is -devonishart.com. send me some feedback. Blessings.

From your Profile Picture here, compared to those on the website, your journey seems to have trimmed quite a few pounds from your frame -- Congratulations on that.
As I figured, I do love your work! I'm especially drawn to the forms that are reminiscent of the sea: urchins, nautili.(I had to look up the plural: -es sounds clumsy, -i more elegant and it does appear as a secondary entry!)
I also appreciate the site, and echo one other comment about the formatting: your own bio appears in two different forms in 2 places. Otherwise I like the site. Do you get many sales from the site?

Love your posts Courtney , very thought inspiring and also motivational.

Andrew,

I hoped it would inspire others to face challenges head on and never give up.Best wishes.

You share a wonderful story, Courtney - a story that we act according to need and the the hand from the deck we are dealt with.

We all must become more self-reliant, fortunately the vast possibilities of the internet and earning $$ through affiliate marketing has opened doors that were shut until recently save for a small group of the elite.

Glad you have recovered and have been creating art again, your true love. Blessings my friend.

Thanks for your encouraging comments, My Doctors still cautions me about my wood carving tools; but now I know I have found an alternative here at WA, but art is my life.

Thank you for sharing your life snippets Courtney, looks like you have found your purpose, best wishes as you explore.

Thanks I don't know if I can go that far, I am still paving the road.wish me luck.

Inspiring as always, Courtney! Where there's a will there's always a way...and, you sure prove that by learning how to get your website going, affiliate marketing and still creating artwork. That is awesome!

You're definitely right, it's a long hard road to success, but it's so worth it when we accomplish our goals. Keep on keepin on!

Thanks for sharing...very motivating for myself to get things done!
Best Wishes :) ~Sherry

Thanks.I think many nebbies underestimate the work that is needed to be successful; There is no magic button to success

I'm glad you're getting the help you need Courtney!

Thanks Mike , I am aware of my weaknesses, and i am afraid to add any more challenges.

That is quite an accomplishment and kudo's to your courage!

Learning to tackle a website online would be too much for most people and when you add to that affiliate marketing, it is quite a daunting task!

Its always good to read an inspiring story like this, its uplifting!
Thank you, good luck and best wishes!!

:)

Thank you; my wife cannot believe it because she remembers when I refused to learn the computer. I am happy I found WA, it has stimulated my mental creativity.
