Hurricane Irma
This is Meekae - Courtney's daughter, currently posting on his behalf from the United Kingdom.
Anguilla - the country where he resides - was hit by the catastrophic Hurricane Irma. Hurricane Irma hit the island with 185mph winds and over 200mph gusts, leaving the island completely destroyed! Currently, there is no electricity, and won't be for up to 7 months, there is no running water, and wifi is limited -- to get internet access, he has to join the crowd of people outside the main telecommunications company's office.
The hospital is damaged, all of the schools are damaged, most government offices are damaged, and many people have lost EVERYTHING! The situation in Anguilla is dire... Nonetheless, he is alive, and thankful for life, but his house has suffered damage as well... The island literally looks as though an atomic bomb hit, but the people of Anguilla are resilient and working hard to restore some sort of normalcy.
He misses his community at Wealthy Affiliate and hopes to be back soon.

I was worried about Courtney and so relieved I hope the art galleries were not damaged. they are important to him!
The best news is that Courtney is alive and doing well, although quite obviously at this point his life is now in a state of temporary upheaval as is the case of almost all residents on the island of Anguilla.
I'm sure that all of us here at WA who know of Courtney both pray that he will get his life back in order but also quite soon he can resume his online business ventures.
Thank you Meekae for letting us all know that Courtney is alive and well. I am sorry he has suffered the damage but glad he is okay. His island took the brunt of the storm which actually makes him very lucky to have anything left at all. Living without electricity is hard enough for a week, little alone for 7 or more months! We will pray for his recovery.

Meekae it broke my heart when I seen what it did to the islands I want you to know that there's people out there that are praying for a fast recovery it's hard to believe that such a disaster has come upon such a small island I have a lot of compassion and I truly do believe that there's people out there that do care I am one of those I'm glad he is okay tell Courtney that we are thinking of him I'm currently trying to figure out something that can be done to help those people. I live in Central Florida we were luckier than the United Kingdom there still was a lot of Damages and a lot of lives lost and broken hearts but things can be replaced lives can't but we will remember those that didn't make it through.

I am so sorry to hear this but thankful that he is alive. My prayers go out to him and the entire community. It was a horrific storm and did major damage to many places. Thankfully my area did not get hit as hard as others. Stay strong and pray for recovery. Thank you for letting us know Courtney situation.
I will like to thank the community for their prayers and well wishes. I was able to post a blog today which is a rare occasion as we re still without electricity, running water, and limited communications. I hope to have a generator by the next 7 days and hopefully be able to create which is a major problem for me. The nights are long, i wake at midnight thinking it's morning.we must thank God that only one life was lost in Anguilla.
