Wash Behind Your Ears!
Good Morning and Happy Tuesday Wealthy Affiliate World! I hope you are off to a great start of the week? I am not as I swear I posted yesterday and I don't see it? Oh well, it was Monday after all.
Ok, back to my headline. Were you ever told that as a kid? As I was washing behind my ears this morning it brought up memories of my mother always telling me that. I am honestly not sure why that popped in my head? Maybe because her birthday is coming up in less than a week. Even though she passed 37 years ago (The year I graduated....man I am getting old ..lol) I still think about her all the time.
Some other things she used to say to us growing up....."Always be sure to have on clean underwear as you never know when you will be in an accident"...lol.
At meal time "You will eat what I make you or you will starve"....when I became a parent I added..."This isn't Burger King, you Can't have it your way"
What childhood sayings do you remember.
Thanks for reading and Have a Great Day!

I had to chuckle, too; my mom passed away at the end of 2022, so almost a year and a half...
Yes, to the clean underwear ( if it was dirty or had holes in it, it reflected on her as a bad mother ? I don't know. That's what we thought anyway) . My mom had many as well, passed down from generation to generation, I guess. My mind just went blank on them, though; I just got to thinking how much I miss her, still too fresh, I guess. Thanks for the Mom-isms, I'll try to remember to come back and add some more.
Sorry to hear about your Mom passing. She will live on inside of you. Thanks again for making my day.
I had to laugh when I read this. My Mom is no longer here either. She passed away in 2014. She said some of the same, I guess you can call them, colloquialisms. I miss her often. Thank you for that.
Your childhood home sounds just like mine. Haha
We were also told, "You will not leave this table until you've finished everything on your plate".
And the infamous "Just wait until your father gets home!". That always scared the crap out of us.
Thanks for the little trip down memory lane, Chuck!
Enjoy your Tuesday!

Ahh yes....I was just talking to a friend of mine this morning about cleaning our plates.
Have a Good One
My parents said to me, " The older you get, the smarter we will get." They were saying that as I got older, the things they were telling me would eventually make sense as to why they did so.

LOL. I've heard ALL those sayings. "Stop crying or I'll give you something to cry about" (never did get that one) or how about "If you don't mend your ways, you'll go to hell in a hand basket" (I got that one and still trying to mend my ways. LOL
Regarding the 37 years....you're still a youngun. My profile pix was from my 52nd and that was a couple years ago!!!
Have a great week!
