Yes, I would start smaller. Maybe car parts and accessories for a specific car and model. Expand outward after that!

Considering all the possibilities it would make a great subject.
not necessarily but there are many sub-niches you can exploit under that one: functional (i.e. air ram for better performance, spoiler for performance/looks, and so on).
