Countdown #3 - Why WA Is My Ticket Out
Reason #3
Work vs. WA: I'm sure everyone at your place of work is pretty mature, and there is no whining and bickering there. Everything runs smoothly, everyone gets along, and there are not problems whatsoever. Hey, that was sarcasm.
Perhaps you are fortunate and don't have to deal directly with that kind of drama that makes you wonder if you are surrounded by adults or children. If you are at a company with poor management and makes lots of unnecessary changes then I'm sure you have had these thoughts. Better yet, if you have ever been at a company where favoritism was the criteria for promotion, then I'm certain you have witnessed this. Contrary to that, when you are a solopreneur, you don't have to deal with the office politics nor the power struggles. Even here at WA, the environment is mature and uplifting. So grateful for WA and all the support everyone gives to each other.
Enjoy your week!

I'm very lucky, I have a job that I work 7 months out of the year, and it's with a very nice group of people who really appreciate me because they say and do things that tell me just that. And I get job attached unemployment for the months I'm off.
However, there are some aspects of the job that make me shake my head and roll my eyes, and I wish I didn't have to be there.
My poor husband has a job where he has to deal with some of the rudest people alive, and it's really hard for him. My husband is the nicest, kindest person on the planet, and his job is sucking out his soul.
I am doing WA for both of us. I want my poor husband to be able to retire. We want to travel, mainly to spend time with our kids and grand kids. We want to go someplace warm in the winter and someplace cool in the summer. We are tired of this #$#$% you call work!
Thanks for your post, Claudette. Good to be reminded why we are here. Have a good day! RhondaLeigh
Oh yes, the good old days!! LOL 😱Since I retired, I miss the people that made it work, the victory over challenges we thought were insurmountable, and the patients that made my day and sometimes my career!! I hope you can reach that goal sooner rather ithan later. It has a propensity of zapping your soul! You have an advantage over which I did not. You're already in WA which I presume makes that goal that much easier to accept and look forward to.😊 Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the here and now Claudette. When that day comes when you skip out the door of your final "job", I hope I can witness it as I have been cheering you on all the way! 💕
Yay Us!!!🌟

Life is too short to be surrounded by drama. Speed bumps in our regular way of life has enough problems without people creating more. I agree with your way of thinking about WA. There are more than enough solopreneurs here to help... all you have to do is ask.
To Your Success.

I decided to commit myself to WA full time about two months ago. The freedom of being self-employed is liberating. I haven't completely gotten used to it, though. I'm still looking over my shoulder.
Congratulations. That is wonderful to be self-employed. I am preparing for that day now. Enjoy it and remember you are where many of us are striving to be so make the best of it.
It's a struggle right now, but I'm struggling for me! That makes the burden a lot lighter.
Omg!!! I can relate to what you are saying... It's because of those experiences that I learned l am meant to deal with it forever. WA has given me hope that one day I will be 100% profiting off of myself. Thank you for this post.

Hi Claudette.
"If you are at a company with poor management"
If I wrote about my last experience of poor management, I bet you $100 you wouldn't believe me—but I'd be able to provide you with credible witnesses. Frankly, I don't understand how the company continues to exist. (Well I do; they are regulators in their industry and it's all back slaps, winks, nods and deals done in the shade of night stuff. Alarming.)
"when you are a solopreneur, you don't have to deal with the office politics nor the power struggles"
Unless, like me, you are a consultant in which case there is no escape. Sigh.
But on the bright side, that's why I'm here in WA, where I'm hoping to build a web presence which will enable me to work with smaller clients on a more personal basis. That would be great!
So, here's to both our success. 👍
Regards,
