100 stock images and vectors for $39
I have noticed a few people looking for good quality images for their web sties.
Every now and again appsumo have some pretty amazing deals >> if you haven't signed up for their newsletter I would personally highly recommend doing so.
In the interests of complete and utter transparency >> I am not affiliated with appsumo in any shape or form apart from being a member since inception and I have purchased many many shiny toys from them over the years :-)
Anyhow they have a pretty amazing deal going for Deposit Photos ATM and I thought some people at WZ may be interested.

Thanks for sharing this. I signed up for the newsletter. I like some of the images already. ~Debbi
Chris, Wow, Thanks for this, I have now signed up and am finding heaps of fantastic images for my site. Recommend it to anyone!
I will probably sign up as an affiliate for this when I do the boot camp but like you I won't attempt to sell it to WA members, or make money out of them, just recommend it to them!
Welcome >> pretty cool huh. This particular deal doesn't come along very often but when it does its usually pretty good. :-)

I loved this package and I am a big fan of App Sumo too, but when I saw the following, I decided to pass. I don't want anything on my images, as I feel it messes with the integrity of my site. Some may not agree and I think the images are great, but either way, anyone looking into this should be aware:
"If a purchased File is reproduced in mass media (published on a blog or website, in a magazine, in a newspaper or on TV), a copyright notice must be displayed next to the File. This notice must contain the following text: "© Depositphotos.com/[Name or Nickname of the contributor]"."
Thanks mate appreciate the feedback >> I have no issue giving credit to the artist myself and there are many ways to do that without it being intrusive or interfering with the image.
My Best >> Chris
Thanks, man! And I have no problem giving credit to the authors. I just want to make sure the images appear as professional as possible. Do you have any examples of what the images look like with that notice placed on the image? I'm still considering it. Thanks!
Copyright is an interesting thing and is very subjective to say the least. The intention is to give credit to the artist.
I went back and checked >> this is pretty standard >> you don't have an "extended" license under the above deal meaning you can't take credit for the artwork and can't sell it or redistribute it >> you can however publish the artwork "without the © on the actual artwork" itself >> the conditions state it needs to be "next" to it, and that is also open to interpretation.
Also you must understand this type of image does NOT fall under the creative common license >> why because you have paid for it >> all be it in a limited capacity.
If you publish a picture on your site you can put the "source...." underneath it or even a list at the very bottom of the page if that makes sense...it doesn't need to be a link either just acknowledgement.
In the professional arena it is very common to provide credit and in my opinion it enhances the 'professionalism' of your words because it shows you yourself don't mind giving credit to others.
An example Derek Halpern is one of my favourite all time bloggers and he provides attribution this way

This is a site that I am almost finished building for myself >> for nothing else but a place that I can jot down some of my thoughts favourite quotes and artists etc etc
>> would I be pissed if someone ripped off my images without giving me credit hell yes because I put a lot of time an effort into my own work. Would I do anything about it if I saw it mmm depends on how it was used

To give you another example this infographic was built for my company and the artist in Singapore refuses to take it down >> the sad part is he doesn't even realise that the last section text was duplicate because I hadn't finished writing it at the time >> more fool him because it makes him look like a twit...but more importantly he can't distribute it with the correct text

Anyhow rant over lol
