What do you call this?
For the past something years, I don't know how now but I get up every morning between 4:00 AM and 5:00 AM. For some reason getting up early just makes for a good day. This is what gets me though.
I wake up the same time on my work days and on my off days, but the feeling is different. When it's the work week I wake up maybe drag a little bit do my coffee and a cigarette out on the patio.
Then I come inside get on the computer and do my daily activities before work and then by 6:00 AM I'm packing up the laptop and off to work I go. I love my job and 99% of the people I work with, but I want more and feel I deserve it. There is a certain feeling I have and I don't know what to call it. I don't dislike going to work.
Now on the other hand my days off, I get up at the same time and I go through the same steps as I start my day. Everything is the same I have my coffee and a cigarette on the patio. Then I get on the computer and do my daily's and I still tell myself "I deserve more."
Now financially and physically I'm the same but on those days off the feeling is different although I'm on call it seem like 24/7. I just have a different feeling I can't name. WOW Believe it or not I just got a call from my job as I write this whatever you want to call it.
I think I just figured it out, I don't have to go in I told them what until Monday. Having a choice to do what you want to do with your time give you a feeling of something more than just the freedom to do. What do you call this?

I call it, I have a nothing "must or have to", and everything "may" day.
So for short:
A mayday in dutch it's a "magdag"
A mayday is a day when I don't have to go out to work, I don't have kids to take care of, I don't need to do something in the housekeeping, I may sit down with a book, or take a bath, or go for a walk, or sit behind my computer, or go shopping, that's a mayday
