A Confused Person Does Nothing
Many of you know that I am a network marketing professional. If there is one lesson that I have learned in my industry that correlates to blogging, it's this: "a confused person does nothing."
Information overload can be the kiss of death for many new people in my industry and in the blogging industry.
Your key to success here at Wealthy Affiliate is to do three things.
1. Complete the training, but don't think you have to know everything to get started.
2. Get started and take DAILY action.
3. Just pick 2-3 things you will do to grow your blog each day.
Each night before you go to bed, take out an index card and write down just 3 things you will do with your blog the following the day. That's it.
When tomorrow arrives, make sure you complete those three things. They don't have to be huge things. Just complete whatever tasks were on your list.
When you complete those three tasks, celebrate your success. Repeat this process over and over and over and two things will happen.
One, you will form new habits, which is vitally important.
Two, the compound effect will kick in and you will achieve amazing results after 12-36 months.
In summary, keep things simple. Do not overwhelm yourself with information overload. And, do not think you need to know everything to succeed. Ignorance on fire is better than knowledge on ice!
Two or three small tasks done over and over and over can make a HUGE difference.

Hi Chuck, I really hit a wall around Jan 1st, with my website. I have been going around and around in confusion, producing nothing.
This post just mapped a little trail for me to start walking. I Have to get going again, despite the world being crazy right now
Thanks for that.
:)
Very well said Chuck...
I'm online every day making tweaks to my blog - making sure I have enough emails in my sequence, writing ads, or tweaking my CTA's.
I know that I am near some very big fish, so will just keep my bait on the hook...
Thanks for sharing!

Great information and very true - that philosophy has served me well over many years and continues to do so today.
It's also a good idea to learn to develop selective hearing - or in other words - learn to ignore things that do not matter yet will eat up all of your time if you let them.
Best regards,
L.D. Sewell
Brilliant blog and spot on. I really like your fire and ice quote.
And so true, for me anyway. There have been times when I've felt overwhelmed with all the information. But then I have a word with myself. And I relax and tell myself that ALL of this is very new, one step at a time...
Cheers Chuck,
Louise

Great post. I read a book called Atomic Habits by James Clear and in it, he shows the importance of doing 2-3 small things daily over and over until they become habit.
Your post here really showed how undervalued the small, yet consistent tasks can turn into huge results down the road. Thanks for the share!
