Placemats & Coasters get seen by people waiting to eat.

They also get looked at when people are on a date and run out of conversation.

They might as well look at your ad.

Placemat and coaster advertising probably works better for businesses related to restaurants, such as cinemas, theatres, bowling alleys, or night clubs. People out eating might more than likely be up for other activities.

However, insurance companies and other niches could also benefit, especially if the placemat or coaster contains a catchy slogan.

The type of restaurant needs to be taken into consideration, as fine dining restaurants more than likely will not be using them, but everyday restaurants such as pubs serving the common crowd will use placemats & coasters.
