Thoughts On Choosing Your Niche!
Hi again Everyone
A constant thread in many conversations, especially in Live Chat and in the course comments, is what niche to choose. Many of these are from newer members who are in the process of setting up their websites, but some are from members who are not totally happy about their chosen niche and ate thinking of changing, and also from some who have reached the stage of wanting to start an additional website.
Personally, I fall into both of the latter categories. My first website is now four months old, with the consequent 40% site trust, yet I am not completely happy with. I try to post regularly, but I do struggle with finding subjects to write about, which I really should not. I am interested in the niche, but I can't say that I have a passion for it, which would help so much. We are always advised to find a niche which we feel passionate about, as you know.
To this end, I have been going back over the training on choosing a niche, and also doing some additional research for myself.
What is a niche anyway?
I have heard of a niche described as a target. I think that really means that you are choosing a niche which will appeal to as many people as possible, giving you a target audience. The hope then is that these people will target your niche and will buy whatever it is that you are offering there.
So if you really want to make money online, it is vitally important to choose a niche that is of interest to as many people as possible, and make sure that you are offering them something that they want or need sufficiently to make them buy from you. If the audience that you are able to reach feel strongly about what you are offering, especially if you can appeal to them at an emotional level, then they are much more likely to buy from you.
So which niche to choose?
Evidently the most successful niches fall into the following four categories:
- Relationships
- Health
- Money
- General Interest e.g. Pets,Sport, Hobbies etc
I do hope that this may be of help to some people. I am certainly using this information to choose my next website!!
Many thanks for reading this, and have a great, positive and productive day Everyone, and a happy weekend:)

Best wishes for your quest, Chrissie, my take home is what ever niche we go for we need to have the sense that we can keep producing content, I have come unstuck in that area. It is ok starting out only to run out of steam. Thanks
Nice to hear from you Chrissie and also glad to know I am not the only one with the "challenge" you just described :-)
I am doing the same thing you are at the moment.
Have a great weekend. Steve
PS - How are the newlyweds doing?
You too Steve!! Good luck with it!
You have a great weekend too.
They are doing fine by the way, very many thanks for asking :)
I have the same dilemma which you described. Hopefully, we will both find answers soon. But I am not in a rush because I think this is what caused the problem initially.
Stay safe,
Steve
