Google Ranking And Keywords, why so hard?

Google is really starting to drive me. I use Jaxxay for my keywords and it says they are good. However, they are either ranking low or not at all. I am not really sure what that means per se or what I can do about it.

I have tried popular keywords and low hanging fruit. Has anyone else had this issue? What does it truly mean? How to fix it?

I know I could pose this as a question, but I wanted to engage a bit more.

All the knowledgeable people here I know someone has the answer.

Thank you kindly

Just saying...

Hi Cherry.

Why is it so hard to rank? Hmm.

Why do doctors "practice"? Shouldn't they have finished practising after medical school?
If you go to someone to invest your money, why is that someone called a "broker"?
In America, people live in buildings with several units all jammed together, and they're called... "apartments"??
Do you agree with me that the secret ingredient God put into foods to make them delicious is... calories?

Why is it so hard to rank? Lolz.

Regards,

Tayo,

You knock me over with the way you respond. I love it.

I understand that I my site is new.

I just needed to know if my articles weren't ranking because either I did or did not do something.Or in fact it is just because it is new.

I got it now.

Thanks to all the wonderful people who have responded to me. Including yourself.

Its what I was looking for. Thank you. Be Blessed.

The very clear answer is that it is because your site is too new yet as I can see you just joined a couple of months ago.

The reality is just that it takes time for Google to trust you and it will give top rankings to a site that is just a few months old no matter how good SEO or how good articles you have. If you follow the training here and keep putting in the work that will however happen.

So my best advice is to stop watching the statistics and stop checking your rank for now - it is depressing to do for the first 6 months:-)

Instead, just focus on following the training and producing quality content - then the results will definitely come.

Exactly what I plan to do. Is ignore it for a time, now that I understand the purpose of the waiting game.

I will do just that.

I heard a lot of this before. I just need to understand why.

I got it now.

Thank you for your words.

Be Blessed.

You are welcome. Glad I could help

All I can say is it's a process. My site is 17 months old, in a very competitive niche and it took MONTHS for some of my articles to rank. Some don't rank at all. Keep writing high-quality content and hang in there. I have "quit" more times than I can count, but now I feel I have maybe, finally turned the corner.

Good to know. I will keep producing. I wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing before I kept going. Thank you kindly. Be Blessed.

First of all, how many articles do you have in your website? For a new site, it will take up to 6 months before Google starts taking your site seriously.

And it isn't realistic to have 20+ articles and hope for them to rank.

But basically, if you follow what's taught here, and continue to produce great articles, like 3-4 per week. You'll start notice gradual improvement in traffic.

If not mistaken, it took me 50+ articles before one of them rank on the first page.

Hi Kenny.

Thank you for your clear answer and for providing a hard number (50). That puts things into perspective for me and manages my expectations.

Cheers!

You're welcome. It's just a rough figure. Don't get discouraged. It also means a new site couldn't knock you off the ranking easily, once you're established.

.
Yep, good point too, about the keeping the ranking once there. 👍

That makes sense. I do not have 50 articles. But at least now I know what they are looking for.

My site rank is fine but it's the articles that are bumming out. Now I know that around fifty is what Google and Bing are looking for.

Thanks for that.

.
I'm sure you've remembered too things like linking to authoritative sites, and other general SEO palaver such as minimum article length, headings and grammar, etc?

If I may ask, what SEO tool or plugin or service are you using?

SEO pro in the word process. I am inside google console and bing webmaster.

No specific plug ins being used for SEO purpose.

.
Yowzah! Heavy.
You're way ahead of me.
Think I'll get out of your way and leave you to it.

Stop it. Your funny.

50 articles is just an estimate. Some websites have lesser than that but each article could be 10k words long.

It also depends on the niche you're in. For instance, if you're in the "make money online" niche it could be tough for certain keywords.

And if you're in health/medical niche, it is almost impossible to rank above authority sites like WebMD, Healthline, etc. I'm in that niche and I found it the hard way.

Also, it really doesn't matter if you're not ranking for "how to" articles. It's important to rank for Review or "best of" articles. They are the one that makes you money.

Hi Cherry,
My relationship with Google is more of a love/hate thing. The harder I try to make Google like me, the more hate I get in return. Google is the big one but there is Bing and Yahoo. I rank better with them.

A friend told me that sometimes (actually most often in my case) "my" keyword or words are not the keywords Google ranks for. Sometimes you may find yourself ranked very high for keywords you are not expecting.

Keep working and learning!
Walking the Path of Peace, Sanders

Yeah I agree.

My site is ranked 3 on Google and 1 on Bing and Yahoo.

My articles are what is bothering me. They are ranking low or not at all.

Thank you for your words. Be Blessed.

Like others said, it does take time. If you haven't done it, go to Google Search Console, add your site (which it refers to as a Property). Then add your WordPress sitemap.xml Once you do that Google will automatically know of all your posts after you create them and index them. There other tools in search console. If you search for Google Search Console here on WA there is training on it which explains it all.

Cheers

I am already inside Google Console. My site has been ranked. But my articles are low ranking and 3 have not ranked at all. Although, Google says it has indexed it. When I look in site ranking in Jaxxy those 3 articles still has no ranking.

Thank you. Be Blesed.

Hello Cheery,
Back to the grind stone eh. good to see.

I don't want to confuse the issue as different people have different methods once they select a key word.

I have a story here.

https://the-bare-foot-affiliate.com/how-to-find-keywords-for-a-website/

And I had massive trouble with the keyword for this one.

https://the-bare-foot-affiliate.com/small-woodworking-projects-that-sell/
The headline in the one above Is what it is. My only option here is to do an additional post using a long tailed keyword.
On long Tailed keywords. If it is about 78 characters Google will truncate it (so long as it makes sense and is related to the content ).
While keywords are important, always remember the content is more important.
There are people on here who don't bother researching keywords and just write, then look for a keyword when they have done the content. (I have done that a few times).

The keyword is only used two or three times. Once for your headline and somewhere in the first paragraph.

My thinking is not to waste to much time on it. Just write and then look for a headline.

If the keyword for your content is too low or too competitive then here would be (I am sure), a different keyword for another subject, that is related to your content.

Look through your content, there could be half a dozen related subjects that have a keyword you could use, that would fit with your content.

Indexing, ranking, it comes more from good content Cheery.

A post on a new site can be indexed and rank within a few days. If it doesn't, don't worry about it, maybe the next one will. Then Eventually......... $$$

Just keep writing.

Regards,

Michael.

Thank you for the information. I will review it. Be Blessed.

I habe a website (in Chinese) which is ranked on the first page. The wixsite gave me a lot of guidelines on how to improve the SEO.

I think you need to work on your website title, meta description, your photos (smaller size ranks better) as well.

My site is ranked 3 in goggle and 1 on Bing and Yahoo.

My problems is my articles are ranking low or not at all.

I will look at my photos to see if I can make them a bit smaller. I know what I will be doing this weekend.

Thank you a lot. Be Blessed.

SEO is new to me also. It takes time for Google to rank. I just play around with keywords all the time. I use other SEO keyword softwares. I research a variety of websites especially in affiliate marketing programs and Internet marketing, niche marketing, those itself are keywords and I get many long tailed keywords on the bottom, click save, I put them in excel database, its data for me. I read articles copy and paste some keywords from the articles. It goes a long way to add keywords to my database. Im still working on my content. Check out

Brenda,

Yes I have just this to my Affilliate link folder. Where I go back to review stuff when I hit a wall.

Thank you kindly for this. Be Blessed.

Some of it has to do with trust with Google. I.e how old your website is. The longer your website is up the more trust Google will give you and rank you faster and better.

I was thinking that, but I was not sure. Thank you Be Blessed.
