we face this nowadays especially when we want to buy things in the supermarket, and we have to bring along our own shopping bag or else pay for the plastic bag, which cost about 50 cents.

I just wonder who will be hesitant to buy, after all we spend so much on the groceries, do we care about another 5 cents?

I came across the above image in a Facebook post by a group called CRANKY OLD LADIES,

don't get me wrong, i am all for environment issue and how to do our shares to protect the little earth we are staying.
what I do not understand is the way governments all over the world are doing, they have this world conference on climate change COP28 and all the participants flew to the venue!!! just imagine how many aircrafts were flying to the venue and amount of carbon the aircrafts put to the atmosphere? and yet they were supposed to talk about carbon reduction

Our society has become so dumbed down. Don't know if it's still a thing, but when traveling I ran across a restaurant that utilized paper straws, which are not practical at all.

I remember returning empty Coke bottles to the store to get a deposit back. I remember groceries being packed in paper bags that were always reused for something - garbage bags, book covers, craft projects...

Sometimes going back to the old school methods isn't always such a bad thing.

I hear you Teo, it makes little sense, but as long as we all do whatever we can to recycle all plastic that we use, then we can preserve our planet for longer...

Looks like Columbo in the image!!

So true. I always get annoyed that everything in the supermarket is plastic packaged in some way. Especially when I only want half of what is in the package!

Plastic should be recycled to keep it out of the environment.

Bringing reusable bags to the store helps cut down on the recycling process, which is typically powered by fossil fuels. 😎
