I am about 2 months in with almost 20 posts. Only three of these are actually indexed on google. Feeling discouraged.....

You can get them indexed faster by using Google Search Console. But remember that getting them to rank takes time and is different than getting them indexed.

2 months is still a very new site, so do not feel discouraged. It takes time before Google trusts you and places you on top of the search results. Just keep going, follow the training here, and work hard, then the organic traffic will come.

I post my blog post in forums and immediately get a spike of visitors by 600%. Try to post in forums. But out of thousands of visitors, only one person will take action.

how far are you through the training?
have you added your google analytic accont and webmaster?
if so have you watched Jays live vent on indexing in less than a minute?
getting traffic for a new site is always difficult - you need to get known, so get out there and talk to your audience - don't wait for them to find you.
put info on fb, instagram, pinterest etc wherever your niche hang out.
you will also need to be patient, i know it is difficult and you feel as though you should be killing it now, but in reality you need to be planning for another 3-6 months at least.
good luck Conner

I am on google webmaster and analytics. It seems it fetches my website daily but the results aren't showing on my content. I understand I am here for the long haul but a little bit of progress would be nice. Thanks!

ar you using pretty links?
if so then you may not be seeing all of your traffic.
someone else asked and after a bit of googleing i came across apost that said you need to add pretty links to your ga.

Interesting I will look into it. I am almost through the 4th training module also.

i think this is the one i linked earlier to someone
https://prettylinks.com/2017/05/integrate-google-analytics-with-pretty-link-pro/

i realise this and don't use a link shortener, but the training does recommend one and a lot do use one.
i wasn't aware of a probem with it till the other day.

I am also 2months in with only one indexed.
I know someone here will have a good answer for you.
Mine is to encourage you to just keep keeping on. Move past this and keep writing. I have heard people say that just one good indexed post will drive traffic to your site and open the door.
I have been discouraged before also.
But I know that I know that I know this can be done!!!!!
I hope this helps just a bit.

Don't feel discouraged, developing organic traffic through content creation takes time, especially in the beginning. Your site is still new.

However as your site grows and gains more authority, your content will get indexed quicker and your content has a better opportunity to get ranked in the search engines because of your sites gaining authority.

Hang in there, a lot of your hard work you're putting in now you won't see the results of your effort for months. This is the period of the grinding and hard work, it will pay off -

I had someone review one of my pages and she found that at the bottom of the page there was a bunch of giberish at the bottom of each of my posts and I thought it was only view

Go to WA browser and type your question which could direct you to the answer.

Some themes have that and some don't. You can try a different theme or look for a plugin at wordpress.org

Check at the end of the post, recommendation not to delete tags if you already used them.

The blue at the bottom of the screen is what I am talking about. Thanks in advance.

Its not tags its some coding HTML stuff probably has to do with the theme that you selected. Have you tried using another theme? (Personally don't know how to get rid of that).
